This clip speaks for itself -- literally. The Columbus Dispatch discovered a homeless man along Ohio's I-71 claiming to have "the God-given gift of voice." His name is Ted Williams, and he's an ex-radio announcer according to the note he scrawled on a piece of cardboard that he uses to solicit change from drivers. And wow, does Williams ever deliver for a dollar. Williams tells the Dispatch about his struggles, but thankfully "alcohol and drugs and a few other things" haven't diminished Williams' velvety vocal cords, and he says he's two years clean now..

"I have a god given gift of voice. I'm an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times. Please! Any help will be greatfully appreciated. Thank you and God bless. Happy holidays," says Williams' roadside sign for help..

Like Williams, the radio industry has fallen on hard times in the past decade, but given the viral power of this video, we expect more than a few morning show and late-night appearances, and perhaps even a job, will be in Williams' near future. In fact, Reddit reports that Ted has already been tracked down by Columbus area radio show The Morning Zoo and will appear on tomorrow morning's show, so tune in! .

Seems like he got that chance Smile
"Local newspaper the Columbus Dispatch says Williams is wanted by WBNS-TV to narrate promotional spots during its first ever 'One Day To End Homelessness' telethon on Jan 31.

He has also received a $10,000 (£6,398) offer for voiceover work from the Ohio Credit Union League.

"We're on pins and needles," said Tony Florentino from local radio station WNCI.

"I think he really has no idea how big this is going to be."

Considering the fact that most streets probably have less than 100 houses, nevermind 200, it seems unlikely that the unluckiest house number would be 243 as stated.
There must be an order of magnitude number of houses with numbers below 50 than there are houses with numbers larger than 200.
I have lived at 8 addresses over the years, and only 1 of them was above 200.

Just picked up my copy of "The Manchester Evening News" this afternoon in Manchester, while out shopping.
They give them away free on Fridays. There's lots of guys handing them out on Market Street.
One of them was shouting out "Get your free copy. Its got pictures for the dyslexics" Smile
Not new, but Stephen Fry was talking about "Mike the headless chicken" on the internet, in a QI program I saw last night on Dave channel, so I had to look it up
