Was great having the foo fighters back whilst the artic monkeys were pathetic personally reckon it was a gamble given there lead was not well during the week
Hey ho roll on guns and roses later and then Elton John tomorrow
tbh Guns and Roses prob going to be a car crash Axel doesnt have it anymore vocally not that he had that much in the good old days as someone who saw them at monsters of rock in 88 and on the use your illusion tour in 92 which were both cracking shows

having seen some of the recent shows on Youtube
have to say not as bad as i thought they would be i didnt know that ian beale was lead singer now Tongue Tongue
Looking forward to Elton John tonight in what is his last ever UK show could get quite emotional

have to say Guns and Roses was better than i expected Weak link was AXL who vocally aint there anymore and the sound man wasnt his friend as Usual Duff and Slash were amazing and the Drummer was so good to

For all the talk of "one big happy family" together, I keep thinking of the number of acts who don't get booked or in any way talked up. Will Eddy Grant get a "legends spot" call? Will Billy Ocean? Don't tell me they ain't got the hits if you're putting Cat bloody Stevens on.
its like an old folks home this weekend

Had Chrissie Hynde Last night and got Debbie Harry, Elton and Cat Stevens in the 70s Debbie harry at 78

and Candi Staton is on later at 83
Sir Elton John = LEGEND.

Nuff said.
Yeah, seems to have been a good year.

Also didn't realise until last night that Mark Radcliffe appears to not be involved with the coverage any more, which is even better.
Obv he was a middle aged white man and working class so obv he had to go Tongue Tongue
