Jack Draper recovered twice from being a set down to beat Mariano Navone 4-6 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-2 in just over 4 hours.

Meanwhile Jacob Fearnley claimed an excellent 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 7-6 (7-2) win over a physically struggling home favourite Nick Kyrgios.

Fearnley bossed it

Despite a whole load of debilitating woes on serve Emma Raducanu battled hard to finally beat the 26th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-2). That was tough viewing.

She's had a long road back to be fair and I hope she takes a lot of positives from it.

I wonder if we are finally seeing the wind down of Kyrigos' career. It's been a tough battle back for him and I think for all his talent he should be challenging for Major titles at this stage of his career. I imagine the defeat is going to hurt for him,with it being his home slam and probably there was a lot of excpectation on him to do well. Australia has had some great male tennis players over the years and probably a lot was heaped on Kyrigos very early on in his career to carry on that tradition and I'm sure that burden hasn't helped. But a great win for Fearnley.
