Yes, apparently, all that's required is a vote at Westminster, where, I assume, there is a Remain majority?

In practice, it would likely be seen as an affront to democracy, to ask the people, then ignore their verdict; However, if, as some are suggesting, there is a certain amount of 'buyers' remorse' going on, they might try to determine if a substantial majority was now in favour of Remain, and act accordingly? (unlikely, but it's a thought... Rolleyes )

A few people might be regreting it, but their the ones they are airing, most might not.

The remain camp are just jumping on this to bolster their claims; if it does happen, the Uk could no longer be seen as a demongraphic country.

RE: Europe..IN or OUT??
It was a democratically taken decision. We should accept it as the mandate to negotiate exit.

Now the interesting thing is should the result of the exit negotiations be also voted on either by another referendum or by a general election. That way we would get the chance to approve the terms or reject them and elect to Remain. If the terms were similar to Norway's I might vote in favour but of course Leave said no to that option as it requires free movement of people.

At the moment those who voted Remain have done so having no idea what the outcome would be. I've never signed a blank cheque in my life and would prefer that my country is not run that way.

Ex Labour First Minister, Henry McLeish, is backing independence!

Kezia Dugdale says her party will "consider all the options", short of a referendum, and then lays into the Westminster Tories (Corbyn should get her to write his speeches)

Ruth Davidson is offering to put names forward for Sturgeon's 'panel of experts'.

That's nothing; apparently, The Daily Record is in favour of a 2nd Independence referendum?! eek Surprised shocked

the rest of the EU has to aprove it any way. They could reject everything the UK wants if they want to be cunts about it, this would take years, they could just approve everything to get the markets stable again and this could take 2 years.

There can be no movement on freedum of movement, that is one of the main out reasons, there could be a limited 'free movement' where the UK has to accept a limited number of people per year.

When you are giving 13 billion to the EU and getting back 4.5 even the most slow witted of us realise we are not getting a good deal out of Europe. I also get the impression that the Euro Bureaucrats make FIFA look like a fair minded and conscientious organisation.

Well goodness me, been saying this for months, all i got back was stupid i was and great the EU is for the economy, this is why i was puzzled, may be all that 13 billions and more is generated by jobs directly linked to being the EU or something.

i do know one thing, the UK got back way way less than all the other contributers.

That's a foolish statement if ever I've seen one.

Perhaps you should read the Lisbon treaty before you make any further idiotic remarks. It's only possible to leave the EU on the EU's terms.

Hi Wackawoo. Have you got the source of this info? I thought Germany were the biggest net contributors.

we pay that to get access to the market which we export over 200billions worth of Goods and Services to so its less than 10%

if we cant get a deal then we will be on WTO Rules trade tariffs apparently its 36% for Farming and food products and 10% for Motor cars

so we would be proberly be paying more in tarriffs than we would paying membership to the free market
