No the referendum was never legally binding well wasnt writtern in law as such. only way could really change it would be to have a General Election and have parties be put in manifestos in or out and see who wins but mind you only flaw is i can see hundreds of UKIP Mp's in the north

Had to laugh this morning on Kaye Adams' Brexit phone-in. She kept apologising in advance to callers in case she had to cut them off because "we're waiting to go live to Jeremy Corbyn, who's due to make an announcement"
After about 5 mins of Corbyn droning on like a bad after-dinner speaker, she cut him off saying "Right, well, we'll just leave that there, but we'll go straight back if he says anything... err.... significant"

^^ legally speaking, the referendum is only advisory.

Yes, apparently, all that's required is a vote at Westminster, where, I assume, there is a Remain majority?

In practice, it would likely be seen as an affront to democracy, to ask the people, then ignore their verdict; However, if, as some are suggesting, there is a certain amount of 'buyers' remorse' going on, they might try to determine if a substantial majority was now in favour of Remain, and act accordingly? (unlikely, but it's a thought... )

I do like on the news the EU are trying to order the UK to get on with it and are voting about it on wenesday; the UK, you will have to wait.
