Page 3 is no more in the Sun Newspaper

THe newsfeeds make interesting reading.On the BBC feed for every woman who has a pop at it another says 'if they want to do it and it makes them good money,then let 'em'

yeah it does seem a bit hyprocritical not just for the reason you say mark_suff, but also because lots of other magazines have topless/scantily clad women in them (womens magazines and celeb gossip mags) yet no one bats an eyelid at those and there are lots of mags out there that have topless men in them yet no real fuss on them. then there is the diet coke ad where a group of women perve on a man and get him to take his shirt off, if that was done the other way round (men perving on a woman) there would be outrage.

overall I think most of the uk couldn't care less about p3 and wont bat an eyelid that page 3 has seemingly finished in the sun newspaper.

also agree with speedybert, the newsfeeds make very interesting reading indeed, as he says for every women that is having a pop at p3 and celebrating the sun apparently finishing it in the sun newspaper there is another woman sticking up for p3 and the p3 girls saying comments like the "if they want to do it and it makes them good money, then let em" that speedy has quoted and also saying "these women that are trying to get rid of p3 say their feminists but they are actually being anti-feminist because feminism is about giving women the right to do whatever they want without any barriers yet they are trying to take away the right of women to make money from their bodies and looks" and "if you don't like p3, then buy a newspaper that doesn't have it and there are plenty that don't"

this is the same on social media too, especially on facebook and twitter, for every woman having a pop at p3 there is another standing up for it

A lot of them seem to have forgotten but their used to be a page 7 fella back in the early nineties I think it was and as far as I can remember no blokes got upset and wanted it banned, and yes Rammy they seem to pick on the Sun for some reason, although there was a group of women back in late eighties/early nineties (including a female MP who i'm not gonna name) who were going into newsagents and taking adult mags and burning them in the street, for some reason they were never prosecuted for basically stealing mags or anything else.I'm sure store owners weren't happy with this.

Never seen any harm in Page 3. Just good looking girls with great bodies.

Maybe women would prefer to be acknowledged like this. I know which I would choose.

I doubt the sport will drop topless babes, if it does the paper will only be 5 pages long.

All i can say is that its political correctness gone mad,i usually buy the Sun,but more for the puzzle pages than page 3,i have to say i cant see what the problem with it is and as others have said having seemingly one this battle no doubt the babeshows are the next target,but also if sales start to fall dramatically they could bring it back if not illegal.
