Scottish Independence (the sequel)

As far as I'm concerned I think we should wait and see what Sturgeon's next move will be before commenting further It was interesting on 5 Live last night as to how they likened the current spat between May & Sturgeon to the one between Mary Queen of Scots & Elizabeth 1st.
Pretty much almost the same scenario but no social media was available then so I can only imagine the letters that went between them and they NEVER actually met.

Seems a debate on NHS in Scotland was cancelled so that the Scottish Parliament can have a 2 day debate on another independence referendum

I would have thought the NHS in Scotland would have made for a far more riveting debate!! Why waste two days debating on an independence referendum when the NHS needs are far more important right now?

Apologies if I have brought up an issue that probably doesn't exist

Perhaps because the NHS has been discussed many times in Parliament, and will, no doubt, continue to be discussed in the future, whereas the issue of Independence is fundamental to everything else, and is an issue that has been raised again as a direct result of the EU referendum, and the resultant, ongoing situation re. 'brexit'?

And I would guess that it depends on your point of view as to whether it is a 'waste', or not.

Would there still be an "NHS in Scotland" to debate about after independence?

Healthcare is devolved in the UK. NHS Scotland is therefore operated by the Scottish Government.

I don't understand the reason for your question, as the Scottish Government does not need independence to run NHS Scotland. It already has that power.
