Thats a shame. The original proved to be an unexpected hit, both at the cinema and on dvd. Obviously the studios lacking any long term vision thought that by making the sequel a 12A and opening it up to a wider audience they would make much more money Rolleyes
On a different note I can recommend Liam Neeson's movie 'Unknown' which follows in a similar vein, though in this movie he is searching for himself, instead of his daughter!

Moonraker, another classic bond and one of my fav bond themes sung once again by great Dame Shirley Bassey and how could forget Dr Holly Goodhead lol. Couple of facts For Your Eyes Only was ment to be the next Bond film after the Spy Who Loved Me and then Moonraker, but Moonraker got swapped round with For Your Eyes Only because of the success of films like Star Wars, Star Trek and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Drax' Venice laboratory has an electronic lock on it.The sequence which unlocks the door is the hailing tune from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Moonraker was actors Bernard Lee last Bond film as M as he died two years later. 9/10.

Defendor (2010)

Woody Harrelson's performance is outstanding as a mentally ill man who assumes a superhero identity. Very enjoyable. 3/5

Edmond (2005)

Wiliam H Macy plays a middle aged man who goes off the rails rapidly and leaves destruction in his wake. Grim humour and savage violence carry this through to a very funny ending. 3/5

2012 (2008)

Director Roland Emmerich lays waste to the planet again. John Cusack, Woody Harrelson and Amanda Peet play the people whose stories we follow right up to the end of the world as we know it. Thrilling with outstanding special effects. 4/5

For Your Eyes Only, Another great bond film. Some facts about the film its the first film to show the song artist (Sheena Easton) of the bond film in the intro this wouldn't wouldn't happen again until Goldeneye with Tina Turner. At the start of the film theres a reference to On Her Majesty's Secret Service with Bond at his wife's grave. This would make it Biofeld sixth and last appearance, its not actually Biofeld but at the same time it is as the producers lost the rights to use the character of Biofeld due to a court case so they dressed someone to look like from behind with of course the famous cat and to get there own back in losing the rights to Biofeld they killed him off, so he is Biofeld but with out his name ever being said. The character of Countess Lisl was played by Cassandra Harris who, at the time of filming, was married to future Bond actor Pierce Brosnan. The tone typed on the keypad at Q branch is "Nobody does it" from the Spy Who Loved Me which funny enough this was supposed to be the next film but got swapped around with Moonraker and this the only Bond film to have M as the actor who played him the previous films died a few months before they started filming so to get around this M is on leave. 8/10.

skyfall was brilliant. it was almost the bond films from the connery days, i think that the next 2 bond films with daniel craig will be like the connery ones but more realistic like casino royale and the bourne films (damon trilogy). casino royale and qos were bare bones bond films and skyfall was bond with the gadgets, q.

Iron Man 9/10 and Iron Man 2 8.5/10.

Such great films, as has been said by kalel, 'Robert Downey Jnr was born to play this role', I couldn't imagine any other actor in the suit, he stole the show in Avengers Assemble too. He delivers the one liners perfectly.

I put The Pledge on again recently. I first saw it ages ago and either didn't follow it properly or missed something. I had it given to me on dvd last year and thought I'd put it on. Maybe it needs a second viewing to follow it - it worked - I got it this time. Very good performance by Jack Nicholson as the obsessive cop trying to solve a child's murder. 4/5

Night of the Living Dead (1968)

From a time when horror films were effective with grainy black and white picture and outstanding performances from the actors rather than bucket loads of slapstick gore. Ghoul master George A. Romero's first in the 'Dead' series doesn't disappoint. 4/5

Tower Heist

Ben Stiller & Eddie Murphy both star in,and are actually quite funny in this comedy caper.
Unscrupulous boss, screwed over employees leads to a plan for payback...
Good film with a decent amount of laughs.
