RE: Liverpool FC
I'm neither a Liverpool fan or a Villa, but I just wanted to say that's decent business for a hard working player, you know he will deliver quality from the left for Carroll.

For max £20m, you have a player for 5-6 years, I think in this day and age, that's good value - you should be pleased! Now you just need a right winger, unless Henderson will play there and a new defence!

Im pretty happy Yoda. The owners know what they're doing.

We've got a quality left winger at the club now,it's been a long time coming.I'm made up with Kenny's buys so far gotta say lad.Suarez,Carroll,Henderson,Adam and Downing. That's a brilliant injection of quality Yoda.

Y'know what,i didn't think i'd be as made up as i am that we've got Downing.Wanted Mata but Imagining him in our side with Gerrard,Adam (Thought he looked a class act today),Lucas,Henderson,Carroll and Suarez has got me really up for this year.

There won't be a striker in the league that'll get better service than Andy Carroll this season. He'll have top quality coming at him from all angles.

Excited to say the least lads. Smile

I think we paid well over the odds again 75million for henderson carroll n downing that way to much imo,i mean carroll had half a decent prem season, henderson been average at best and this is downing first decent season. People talk about sell on value but there english so highly unlikely to move abroad we wont sell to man u arsenal dnt pay big tranfer fees that leaves very few clubs to sell em to,at the start of the window most fans said we need wingers left back n central defender , so spending 27million n central midfield makes little sense to me,we were well covered there imo, hope im wrong I think we paid well over the odds again 75million for henderson carroll n downing that way to much imo,i mean carroll had half a decent prem season, henderson been average at best and this is downing first decent season. You might wanna try that one again Colmanjohn Rolleyes

Sell on value with Andy Carroll is simple, he's worth about £12m if he has two decent seasons & we then decide to sell him but know we won't get more than £14m-£18m then we use him as a part exchange deal, say if we wanted Luka Modric who was still at Tottenham then we offer Carroll & £5m-£10m.
The only problem may be the reported 25% sell on fee that Newcastle put in the deal, if this is true then it's the worst deal ever signed unless he goes on to be a club legend!!!

Remember, for some reason English players are ridiculously over priced and taking that into consideration, £20m for an England international is pretty good value, only a handful of Premier League wingers are better than him, and will go for a lot more money! Plus his wages won't be that high either.

Haha, yes, you 100% need a new defence, your goalkeeper is very good, otherwise, its shit! Glen Johnson can't defend, you haven't got a left back, and don't get me started on the white Titus Bramble! (Carra)

RE: Liverpool FC
Jamie Carragher is one of the top 2 defensive defenders in the Premier League & has been for some years now so how you come to this conclusion can only be through you being not as you say a Fulham fan but a Manc or from across the park unless your just a disgruntled England fan.
I'm very confident in saying that any true football fan will totally disagree with your nonsense thoughts on one of the games true professionals!!!

RE: Liverpool FC
I assure you I don't support United, I am a Fulham fan...the only thing about Liverpool I don't like is that Roy abandoned us for you (and the results show he should have stayed).

You say he is one of the best defensive defenders, granted he does make some good last ditch tackles, but it is only because a player has skinned him so easily / he's made a howler that he has to do one, and it makes it easier for him to do that because of his long legs.

I would love you to ask any non-Liverpool,Everton & United fans their opinion on Carra and I bet they'll say he was decent, but no good anymore, because any independent football fan will see that.

If he was as good as you think why couldn't he break into the England team in his peak? Was it because he wasn't any good? That's the real reason why he said all that garbage about Liverpool results mean more, because he couldn't accept that he wasn't good enough for the team so he acted like it didn't matter to him. Same reason why he retired early. If he was a true professional, he would have worked harder to break into that team, surely if he was in the top 2, he could get in the England team?

In the 8 years he was available as an England player, he was capped 38 times - can't have been that good a player.

And before you say England called him to the squad for the world cup, remember that Ferdinand and Ledley King were both injured, so there was literally no one left! And on top of that he was dropped for Matthew Upson! Not exactly the measure of a player who is as good as you seem to think he is!

Before you show me a video of all his greatest moments, they'll probably be none from the last few years, and videos can make anyone look good, remember, you must have seen something in Poulsen!
