Whats all this about pulling up a post from 9 months ago. Sad

Even though we had our worst season for fuck knows how long we still finished joint 3rd with Everton interms of goals conceded behind the top 2,3rd in both the home & away table, the main reason for this was probably down the the season ending injury to Lucas.

The reason Carra didn't play more than the respectable 20 games he did was down to the form of both Agger & Škrtel, so what did you prove wrong pal!

What you predicted was we didn't have the squad to win the title & most Reds including myself could've told you that we wouldn't win the league before a ball was even kicked.

We're not at the bottom end of the league we finished 8th.

Skrtel i don't rate one bit been around in prem for a few seasons now and for me has done fuck all other than look very. shaky. on more than one occasion.... But u rate him that's fair enough.... As for Carra il wait to the end of Season and we will see and il personally apologise if am proved wrong doubt i will be mind.... And on Lamps & Giggs i personally think its a lot easier playing Midfield when u get older u can be a lot more clever bout how u play the game.... If ur in defence u can struggle unless ur positional play is bang on

I didn't know this was a LFC thread only for LFC fans 2 post in here bladewave

Daniel Agger played 26 league games dispite starting as third choice.

Martin Škrtel will probably get our player of the season & if I remember some said he will probably just miss out on it to Lucas last season.

Maybe you should've thought about it before you brought up a season long post. Rolleyes

Over the course of the season we have always had one of the best defences in the Premier League, yes we were shit for the first half of last season but that had nothing or very little to do with the defence.

Daniel Agger is fit, NOT INJURED!!! Martin Škrtel's a good defender, yeah he may like a wrestle when defending corners but still he's a good defender. Jaime Carragher is the same age as Frank Lampard & younger than Ryan Giggs, so whats your point, he's never been the fastest of players & just because he's now 33 people want to use the Cliché of his legs have gone, gone where??? the last I knew they were still attached to his body.

The left back position has been a problem since Allen Kennedy left in 84 & between them Glen Johnson, Martin Kelly & John Flanagan have got all aspects of the right back position covered.

Ain't it about time you fools started worring about your own team for once.

Its been a poor season but i confess to breaking out in to a cold sweat when they talk about Martinez as a future manager!! We shoud have got O'Neill when he was available.

RE: Liverpool FC
I guess in fairness, it's certainly safe to say that Hicks and Gillett really did screw this club over. The new owners have recently needed to pay £35m in order to clear the debt they left just from this stadium proposal:

Other debts left by those two have also needed to be cleared, yet the club is still without any solid plans to either increase the capacity at Anfield or to just build a new stadium. Really is tough times at the moment for Liverpool.

And you just know the media are already salivating over Liverpool having a bad start to next season, 'cause the pressure they'll put on Kenny to go will be huge if they don't live up to expectations. Well, that's if he remains as the manager for the new campaign.

What's even sadder is the plans for that design showed it had restricted views in certain areas. Liverpool need to get something happening with their endless stadium plans, 'cause they're losing out massively when compared to the revenue that the Emirates and Old Trafford can generate. Even Tottenham are closing in on building a new stadium, whilst the likes of West Ham, QPR and Chelsea are also looking at moving into bigger stadiums.

RE: Liverpool FC
Here are some stats for consideration as to whether we need to change for next season:

Season in numbers. 14 - The number of games we won and lost this season. 36 % - our win percentage. Lowest since 53-54 season. 47- goals scored. Lowest since 91-92. 52 - Lowest points total since they started giving 3 points for a win.

Food for thought.

RE: Liverpool FC
We've been shit simple as that there's more stats we could post but it just adds the hopelessness, I can see next season being only slightly better with both Lucas & Stevie hopfully fit all season, but I don't see it being much better.

The danger with us is some fans saying winning a cup is what matters & with Kenny being a fans man he could quite easily drop into being a cup manager, if he hasn't already (Yes I know, harsh after 1 season). This would leave us in the same kind of league form/position of this season & as good as a cup is they don't offer much in revenue reward which would effect any stadium plans not to mention transfers.
The feeling is if Kenny stays as manager he'll do so with little or no transfer kitty so we'll need to sell to buy a striker unless he goes against his decision to use Bellamy as a winger.

I can't help but think we're missing the trick by not giving any serious thought to Roberto Martinez especially given Aston Villa have sacked their manager & will be lurking outside the DW.
