anyway worse comes to the worse download jdownloader downloads are made so much easier.

i think rapidshare is good value for 4 euros for 400 rapids which is 3 months.

Same here.I have both a free(used to be called a collectors account) and a paid account(used to be called a premium account) and every time I try to download a file it just redirects you to the home page.I've contacted them about this,I'll let you know what they say if they bother to reply.Why they have to keep changing things all the time is beyond me.

I have a Premuim account (for many years) and until these recent changes thought they were very good. Why they have to keep changing things is beyond me.

I too have had problems with RS over the last couple of days and couldnt download any Vids

However this morning I managed to sign in using my old Premium Login and Password details.

btw I then went to 'My Rapidshare' then 'Overview' and noticed that the old RS Login Number is now called a Account ID. There was a box for a Username which I then completed (also changed my Password)

RS is now working for me (at least at the moment/fingers crossed) but a bit slow and buggy. I have to 'rightclick save etc' on Hi Speed Download to d'l Vids

I tried a highspeed download today and despite still having 3 months left on my premium account that I've paid for I get a pop up asking to pay more money for the account.I also have over 5000 rapid points but to use them I have to 'recharge' them and they are also asking for money to do that.Getting any sence out of the help page and FAQ'S is like claping with one hand.Time to move on and find another filesharing host.
And no,they've not bothered to reply yet.

I used to have a free account which automatically got converted to a premium account in July.
Ive never paid them anything and rapid points seem to be automatically recharging the account.
Not used it for several days and it took me 3 attempts to login this morning. Took me a while to find out how to upload a file. It was not obvious that double clicking was required on the "icon"
All the original upload dates have been lost from all files uploaded before July.

I think my rs account got hacked... some douche downloaded 9gb worth of data (some ip from jakarta indonesia) .. just checked my logs. I generally dont check my rs account since i joined and when i was told about the new rule/layout of it. I havnted checked my traffic log and was lookin okay since i had my account then all of the sudden my rapid points got stolen (transfered to a different rs acc) got the ip (someone from germany) -4000 and -1000 in july and then towards end of august and this month few ip has used my account. not pleased at all

If you have over 5,000 rapids you don't need to pay any more money - you have the equivalent of over 10 months free access with a download capacity of 150GB per month.

RS charge a monthly fee of 495 rapids. Exchanging your rapids for this allows you to download up to 150GB per month. If you use in excess of 150GB before the month is up, to download more you will need to 'buy more traffic' using your rapids (not money). This costs 280 rapids for 100GB.


Can you...

- Go to your main RS page here. https://ssl.rapidshare.com/#!index
- If the green icon of a person (top right of the page) says 'Register for free' next to it, then sign in.
- If the green icon has your account number next to it, click on it. This will take you to your overview.

From viewing the large icons down the right of your overview page, can you post here how many Rapids you have (top icon with R symbol), when RapidPro is active until (Blue icon that says Rapid Pro) and how much traffic you have left (green icon). I know it goes without saying, but don't post your username or password or a screenshot that includes your username/account number.

Then can you click on Settings (the green cog icon on the left of the page) and tell me which buttons are switched "On"?

I buy occasional monthly membership using my mobile & has worked fine.
Tried downloading a file today and met the new site for the 1st time - logged in ok / membership details & Rapids (301) all ok but when I hit High Speed Download I just get a page of gobbledygook (1st line below) instead of the Save dialogue. NB not directed to homepage like some posters.
Normal Download works ok, if slow, but when I tried a second file it gave me error saying I need membership (on a page where my userid is showing at the top!).
Can anyone advise?

hi guy's most of the great stuff on this site is posted on rapidshare every link i click on take's me to ( rapidshare AG,Cham, switzerland ) & no link to file it's happening on the music sites i visit can anyone give me a clue as to what the problem is ... thank's for reading love this site god bless
