Rapidshare has changed in the last few days.

Does anyone know how to see file info such as "how many downloads" or "last download date" ?
Those columns are missing and I cannot find out how to display them.

As far as i can see you can't. It still displays on the manager software, which they no longer support, but still seem to work for now at least.

What's happened to Rapidshare?

Until no more than a few days ago I was finding it by far the easiest host site to download from, but today I suddenly find that it's almost unusable.

Just clicking a link achieves nothing, but if I hold down 'Ctrl' while clicking, instead of the usual RS user interface I get straight to a normal Windows download dialog box. Clicking 'Save' starts the download at a normal rate, but this immediately begins to steadily decline down to a ludicrously low rate. (The 385MB file I'm currently trying to d/l has now dropped to 6.04KB/sec.)

Sometimes I'm directed to a full screen picture of a desert landscape (Arizona or somewhere similar), which looks as if it could be the RS home page, with a non-functioning menu in the bottom right corner.

Anyone else getting sudden problems?

Anyone got any ideas?

Its all changed, see my post #143 in this thread.

I contacted them about lack of download info etc.
I got this reply today by email

I just logged in and still no extra info displayed.

If I click on a posted link, the firefox download manager opens immediately, offering to save the file. I tested a link and download speed was as normal.

The info buttons work ok for me, even when not signed in.

Yes, tested a few of my links and they download directly now, in FF at least, no need to go to a seperate page. This is good, and saves time.

However the back end is very hard to understand and not exactly informative.

Yep, that's the page I get, but nothing on it works - can't even sign in.

And what about my d/l speed? Down to 5.91KB/sec now (15hrs 10 mins to go!).

Just tried to download a file in free mode,of Toya from another forum,Download time 12 hour,gave up.

Looks like RS is completely broken.

My 385MB download stopped and reported "Download Complete" with only 143MB downloaded.
