I agree with Yoda people forget Jones is only 19 and he will be a surperb player, as for his own goal that can happen to anyone

Phil Jones is a future England captain (and I'm not a Man Utd fan before anyone starts that one).

I'm not a fan of United either but I have to give credit where its due - Jones is an all action, versatile and solid defender. His ability to play in either defence or midfield gives a real bonus to United. Own goals are just one of those things, nobody wants them to happen and its unfortunate when they do, but by and large I think Jones has been impressive this season.

I'd rather he played for England at the Euros instead of the other wasters.

jones started well but is making sloppy mistakes. he has potential but recently is it living upto.

rooney could be sold this month due to the bust up over wayne rooney boxing day antics. news broke on 5live after the liverpool game the article is in the independant.

Starting to wonder if the footballing god's are Dingles Another last min loss !!!!

Just wanna say Jones is a good young prospect only glad SAF has him now for england than he was at Rovers still being led by that clown steve kean

Paul Scholes has come out of retirement to sign for Man Utd until the end of the season. Bobby Charlton to be next?

From the yellow cards given to Man U since that red, it seems evident the referee knows he made a mistake, so I doubt he'll be shy at brandishing a red for a Man U player - if that's the case, I can't think of a worse player to be on the pitch than Scholes, with his 'tackling' ability.

shearer to lead to line for the toon, savage back any of his old clubs. would rat face come out of retirement? i bet if he did there would be alot of sky sports viewers saying thank god hes off the screen.

I don't think that Sir Alex thought the same way.
But Scholes tackling ability wasn't the problem he wasn't quick thinking enough as he presented City with their second goal.

It actually turned out to be a better match than I though.
