Speaking of which...

Dave and GOLD are just as bad, regularly hacking our favourite sitcoms to pieces. Just showed the Brave Alan episode from I'm Alan Partridge... this was shown in the early hours of the morning (probably not the first showing, but I've never seen this series aired before the watershed anyway) and the episode's best line, "Don't rub your fanny on me!" was chopped out in its entirety.

What is the matter with these fucking people? When are broadcasters going to grow some balls and stop being so fucking terrified of offending people?

The Great Unwashed British Public
I thought I'd post this to illustrate a point.

Image 1 (below) is from an OFCOM regulated (over 18) adult channel in the UK:

Image 2 (below) is from a kids music show on European TV channel OTV:

Both caps were made at around 0900GMT this morning.

See how oppressed we are in the UK by the state censor OFCOM! Let this be a lesson to those in the free world (unlike the UK) don't let fascists like OFCOM get in media control in your countries!!!

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Well I've not been on this forum for some time now down to various reasons mainly due to the fact of work commitments aswell as what with this being Christmas plenty of drinking, family get together's and meeting up with friends and I've only just sobered up today Big Grin so last night was the first time in ages I'd bothered to tune into the babe channels taking into account that alcohol has been a much more worthwhile way to get my kicks as it's about the only thing that Ofcom don't have in say in yet Big Grin and what I seen last night was same old story with Ofcom written all over the whole spectrum of shows which literally sent me to sleep as they were all so dull, uninspiring and boring, 2012 will mark it 9 years since Ofcom came into existence and ripped the bloody heart out of all late night entertainment and I'll be glad to see the back of 2011 and can only hope that 2012 is the year of change as this surely can't continue to go on with Ofcom pissing off just about all the channels this year and I think the overwhelming feeling is that they should get to fuck and be disbanded asap, anyway I hope you all had a good Christmas and that this long road to the abolition of censorship is met in 2012 which I hope all comes to a head and that we are discussing the shows in a more positive manner than we are at present Cool

I agree with you 100% mate, 2011 is a year I want to forget, let's hope 2012 will be a far more brighter and positive year for our Babe channels at long last, and let's hope Ofcom will finally collapseSmile

I hope I'm not being too gloomy but....

When the Coalition came to power in 2010 they anounced the end of the quango however 2011 failed to realise that dream.
if anything certain bodies have become even more powerful!!!!

Anyway here's hoping 2012 will see the changes a modern thinking 21st century deserves

Offcom will still be here in 3 years time. You're in for a long wait for Offcom closedown. Gov. has no reason to close/replace them.

The channels should think about what they'd do when the current satellite [EB 1] they use fails in orbit/isn't replaced.

Good point, the Russians arent having much luck launching new satellites at the moment. Perhaps those nice Americans will let some of their drones transmit signals from low altitude. Or barrage balloons. Its got to be cheaper and we might actually get local TV.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
i just wondered if anyone saw the terminator 3 film shown pre watershed on watch with no pin protection at the weekend it seems to me that depictions of kids being executed before 9 pm are potentially far more damaging than a babeshows content 4hours afterwards.
also wondered how much of new activity has to be shown to be a generally accepted standard please could someone clarify this for me because if all the babeshow providers agree to feature one similar thing such as nipple sucking could it not become a generally accepted standard,
p.s if u can make the explantion in lamens terms as im currently out of a job many thanksSad

im always open to positive change

Yes, good points. The problem is though that, with Ocon, violence is generally OK. It's sexual content that they have the biggest issue with.

They are doing their darndest to keep explicit sex off UK TV. Everything else then gets the "Pyramid Treatment". i.e. censorship accordingly.

They don't mind uncensored penises, full frontal women and men getting banged in the ass on Sexcetera though Rolleyes
