An interesting (or useless) fact is that the 4 teams to exit the Carling Cup this week are the 4 teams who have won the Premiership

RE: Football Banter
How has agent fee's managed to not be brought up yet ?

£71.87m !!!!!!

This is sickening. The amount of money paid to agents in the Premier Greed alone would be enough to ensure the future of most League 1 and 2 sides for a substantial amount of time.
No surprise to see City topping the list with a massive £9.66m being paid to agents and representatives.

Swansea and Norwich together paid less then half of the other promoted side in agent fee's.

Incidentally Crawly Town *spit* who allegedly don't have a big budget forked out a massive £83,000. For a League 2 side that is big!!

Here is the list in full.

Total money spent on agents (Oct 2010 - Sep 2011):

Arsenal - £4,648,532.17

Aston Villa - £3,163,320.00

Blackburn Rovers - £4,227,056.93

Bolton Wanderers - £1,941,896.08

Chelsea - £6,457,747.37

Everton - £2,931,127.10

Fulham - £951,245.50

Liverpool - £7,000,242.99

Manchester City - £9,663,700.00

Manchester United - £4,457,103.00

Newcastle United - £6,380,488.00

Norwich City - £710,251.75

Queens Park Rangers - £2,499,214.00

Stoke City - £2,207,698.11

Sunderland - £3,735,384.29

Swansea City - £248,633.00

Tottenham Hotspur - £7,571,815.27

West Bromwich Albion - £1,305,576.38

Wigan Athletic - £659,800.00

Wolverhampton Wanderers - £1,107,918.00

RE: Football Banter
I'm shocked as to how much we (QPR) spent on Agents.

I agree some of the agents should give a percentage back to The Football League and the League distributes the cash to clubs in hte Leagues One and Two. Yet i'm wonddering if we will keep Joey Barton
after his Twitter rants. I know we are going to lose Adel Taraabt, and I expect we will make a loss on his transfer in January, but while Barton has been good on the field for us, off the field I do question his sanity.

I guess it could be the best thing for the carling cup, and wouild love to see Cystal Palace or Cardiff in Europe next season. On the Europa League, if Man Cit, Man Utd, do head for the Europe Cup KO stages, what are the odds of either facing each other in the first knockout round, and also how seriously would they take the competition? And will AVB be in charge of Chelsea if they do?

RE: Football Banter
just watched sky sports news to see england drawn in group d & the rep of ireland drawn in group a - looks a difficult group england face especially against the likes of ukraine, sweden & france but i still think we can qualify even with or without wazza (wayne rooney),it be tough for sure, as rooney our main striker for the 3 lions - shame he can't play Sad

rep of ireland looks a really difficult one in group a, doesn't get much tougher than facin world champions spain, poland, russia & the czechz - hope they join england in qualifyin Smile
