Liverpool spending big - and wisely too. Downing's a good signing and to steal him from under Arsenal's noses is a great bit of business. Things aren't looking so rosy at The Emirates with Nasri and Fabregas wanting away.

On another note I'm pleased that the premier league have relented and changed their rules on so called "weakened teams". Now any top flight club will be able to select any member of their top 25 man squad.

At least my Wolves won't get sanctioned next time we play Manchester United away.

Wolves got a goodun in Roger Johnson too mate. Quality centre-back.

I ain't a Liverpool fan, but I will say it is nice to see one of the top clubs having a punt on English talent. Rather then bringing in cheap foreign imports who aren't even tried or tested, they have gone for players with PL experience and players who can only get better at Liverpool.

Would love to see Kenny finishing higher then Old Red Nose too

Yep I thought it was a dead deal because I had a feeling the personal demands were going to scupper it. But fair play, they got their man.

I think Wolves could do with a player in every position to be honest. I think they've a good chance of survival though. Showed a lot of fight last season.

If Agger has got over his injury which looks to be the case then he'll be first choice with Carra as he's more composed than Škrtel not to mention a natural ball playing left footer with an eye for goal but unlike you I don't know how the season is gonna go so I'm not gonna start banging on about how he'll be better than Rio as I couldn't give two fuck about all that scum!!!

Without doing all the research I pretty confident in saying going all the way back to the Sami Hyypiä & Stéphane Henchoz (Slowest defender ever but still quality) days we've been fairly consistent at the top end of the defensive league although at some points of recent seasons it may not have looked like it due to our midfield positions giving some the view that our defence is shit yet at the end of the season our stats may show that was not the case???
