To be honest, Ro1982, I think Mourinho would have been happy with a 0-0 home draw. It puts the opposition on edge in the second leg, one away goal and you have to score two plus Jose would probably have been happy for another 0-0 and take his chances in a penalty shoot out.

To be honest I don't blame Jose, yes sometimes he's full of shite and bluster, but if you open the game up against Barca you're on a hiding to nothing.

All this talk about Jose's anti-football. What are the other teams expected to do against Barca. They are obviously, and by miles, the best possession football team of their era, plus they have Messi, so you don't come up with a tactic and sit back and admire.

There is nothing wrong with a good defensive performance, fouls or otherwise. All teams foul. Barca, according to the UEFA stats committed more fouls.

I know Mourinho is not to everyone's taste but he has won two Champions League trophies, and fans being fans of those teams couldn't give a fuck how it was achieved.

Watch Lord Ferg employ similar tactics in the Final. The exception being that Man United will pose more of a goal threat on the counter attack and will not give possession away as cheaply as Real.

Saying that I still think Barca will win only because at some stage they will crowd the ref and demand a Man United player gets sent off.

All true captain vimes but when it comes to madrid and their fans winning isnt enough they have to win with style ridiculous as that sounds, look at capello who during the two times he was there won the league twice sacked twice, and del bosque who i think was sacked the yr he won the champos league which is an absolute farce. Ive no doubt mourinho is a great manager but a lot of the madrid fans will think hes disgracin the club by playin that way against barca, i wouldnt be suprised if he got the sack at the end of the season now. Im just delighted barca are in the final to be honest as a solid ABU i think barca will most likely do them again.

Man City beckons. Jose does like his money. He loves England, the English press love him because it means they don't have to do their job, it's handed on a plate with Mourinho and to be honest if some guy made my job easier I'd like him too. For all his faults he is good entertainment. It was like the little jail cell on the side of the pitch last night had already been thought of in advance, surely not. Not to denigrate his achievements lots of managers have had loads of money and done fuck all.

Yeah I think he is waiting for either the man united, Arsenal or Liverpool job. Maybe Man City but I doubt it. Either way he is a top manager and a legend.
