Well its a shame to see another operator leave the scene. More choice, more competition is better in my book.

Suppose we will never know why, but my guess is that the owner worked out that if he was ever the target of a complaint campaign he might end up loosing Channel 5, and that was a risk he wasnt prepared to take. I could be wrong now.

I wholeheartedly agree, the more competition the better. Plus TVX offered cheaper call prices didn't they?

Don't think that is the case because the owner of channel 5 will still be the the owner of these when Elite start to operate on the TVX channels , Richard Desmond/TVX still own and are the licence holders of these channels , they are just allowing Elite to broadcast from their channels , TVX will have to carry the can for any wrong doings that Elite may do , just like Playboy did when Elite breached the rules when they leased the Playboy channels , my guess is TVX couldn't be arsed to run their own channels they probably thought there is to much hassle involved in running live shows so have let someone else use its channels/licence instead and obviously get paid well for doing so .

Not sure why the thread in the Babe Channel Noticeboard has been closed, but it seems there's a new channel (Saucytime) due sometime in May.

And there I was wondering if the next step would be TVX closing their encrypted channels.

is there any news on any new channels in the pipeline?there seems to be a few gaps in between the ones remaining now that several of the channels have ceased ;(

Saucytime, sometime in May... supposedly, but there seems to be a strange hush surrounding it - almost as though no one wants to talk about it. The thread that was started by a rep of the channel elsewhere on the forum, was closed for some reason... no idea why.
