isnt suarez banned for 7 weeks for biting some poor guy or is that just over in the netherlands ?

I'm sorry if I'm speaking out of turn here, but I feel that £35 million for Andy Carroll is silly money. I really don't want to upset anyone, and I do rate the lad as a striker.... but £35 million..?? Surely thats a case of OTT spending.

I think there's so much money being thrown about in the game at the moment, that it can't have a happy ending. It saddens me to think that so many clubs are spending way above their means.

As I say, I'm sorry I don't mean to upset Liverpool fans - I think the combination of Suarez and Carroll is an excellent strike force... I just don't agree with the price tags.

The ban ended last weekend and wouldnt have applied in England anyway as it was just a Dutch ban and not world-wide ban.

So happy he went to Liverpool, I dont know what Redknapp was doing bidding £25 million. Yeah Carroll is a very good prospect, But come on that's INSANE!! If Carroll played the next 3 years at Newcastle and scored 25 goals a season, How much would he be worth then? Maybe £35 million???
