Even though I am gutted, If Torres wants to go then let him go. No one is bigger than Liverpool Football Club.

I wouldnt get the knives out for him just yet. We've seen a few years back with Stevie G and this year at Man Ure with Rooney that these things can change very very quickly. I still dont think he'll go in this window but if he still wants to go in the summer then let him go and get as much as we can for him. Sad to know he wants to sign for a club whose fans have abused him and called him a ladyboy everytime we've played them!!!!!!

OK so I've tried not to respond to this tit in this thread but he seems to think he knows it all. Is he joining the only team that's shown an interest in him??? I don't know but like I say this guy seems to know it all! Real have just got Emmanuel Adebayor on loan as they don't want to buy a striker in January as they will go for Tevez in the summer, UTD, who play 4-3-3 already have Rooney, Berbatov & Chico, Barca also 4-3-3 have just bought David Villa, City have just got Edin Dzeko & Mario Balotelli, Inter have Samuel Eto'o, Diego Milito & Goran Pandev & AC Milan have got Alexandre Pato, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Filippo Inzaghi & Antonio Cassano & Chelsea as we now know are desperate to get a new striker & have just bid for long term target Kun Aguero & since then have learned that we were very close to signing Suarez they would've known yesterday hence the Torres bid.

So yes Luis Suarez IS joining the only club that have publicly shown an interest in him!!!... So what this tells me is that every other major club in Europe already have all the strikers they need or are gonna/have bid for other strikers!!!


As for Torres, first things first I agree with Master Yoda's post above, but if he wants to go then he can for all I care Liverpool FC is Liverpool FC always has been & always will be no matter what face's drive through the gates at Melwood!!!
Although I would say that with Jose Mourinho making noises about a return to the Premier League then don't be surprised if both Torres & Mourinho are at Anfield next season...

What's that guys problem!!? ..Great signing by Liverpool really happy, been hoping for this since the summer. About the Torres saga, Chelsea are desperate to sign someone right now realising their team is getting too old to keep up. So they bid £32 Million? That is pathetic!! Nothing less than £50Million I say and keep him for now, if he wants to go come summer then let him. Use that money plus some more on top and invest it on players like Ashley Young, Fabio coentrao, Andrey Arshavin and a Wild Card - XABI ALOSNO! (I'm a dreamer) This should help us get back on track and become title contenders once again!

Basically his problem is that he's a Man Utd fan and full of man-unitedness!!!! The only way of dealing with somebody suffering with man-unitedness is to ignore or laugh at their pathetic insults!!!

As for the rest of your post....Spot on. Although, as you say yourself, Xabi Alonso coming back is a bit far fetched and i wouldnt touch Arshavin.

and Why not? Nothing wrong with Arshavin he wants out of Arsenal and we could take him in, he isn't past it yet quality player!

I'd much rather Kenny stayed on Mitchell.He's our special one lad.

As I've said before, we could do with someone who's won things in the last 5 years, also if we keep Torres till the summer then bringing in Jose Mourinho would show Torres & any other transfer targets that we are now finally serious about sorting ourselves out once & for all. Kenny's the club legend or at least the closest anyone has ever got to rivaling Bill Shankly but we need to get serious & Torres wanting to leave even with Kenny in charge says we now need to sort things out & fast. I know it's hard to see being a Scouser but thinking outside the box is what's now needed!!!

I think now we're debt free we will also have at least another £20m + money from players like Jovanovic, Konchesky & Poulsen so we will be able to totally overhall the squad but NOT with players like Andrei Arshavin who's not that great or consistent & Niko Anelka who's now about 31 I'd rather get Daniel Sturridge who's young & English or Andy Carrol who would be a great partner for Luis Suarez (If he does finally sign).
But if we do get Mourinho then we'd finally be playing 4-3-3 so Suarez/Torres would be playing as a lone striker.

Whatever happens I think Liverpool are set for an interseting summer & I honestly think we'll come out of it in good shape & who knows next seas.... No I'll leave that till August

Hopefully we can hold on to Torres I think he's acting a bit desperate right now the lad just needs to calm down and concentrate on helping the team. Would like to see a manager like Mourinho come in also during the summer because although Kenny will help us this season we do need somebody capable of taking Liverpool FC to the next level (winning trophies every season). At least we know he can pick up the best player's as some of our signing's in the past few seasons have been down to poor managers not knowing world class talent when they see it. Hodgson seriously thought that bringing Konchesky/Poulsen to us would help as they were good at his old teams If Mourinho does stay at Real then perhaps Louis Van Gaal or Harry Redknapp would be good for us.... if they were willing to come that is.
