Would be great if the Reds fans could talk about Liverpool in the Liverpool FC thread without mancs and allsorts coming in and adding their two pence worth.

I'm a celtic/liverpool fan didnt even know this thread existed.

Does anybody know if we're actually signing somebody in January, ive heard a few names but there seems to be alot of players available for loan that could have helped us get some much needed points but still no action.

Bridge, Adebayor & SWP from Man C could have done a job.
Keane/Bentley from Spurs.
Steven Pienaar availabe on free from Everton

Luis Suarez looks to be top of the list if u beleive the rumours mate.Along with a left back possibly Urby Emanuelson from Ajax or Fabio Coentrao from Benfica. A winger maybe Edin Hazard,Ashley Young,Charles Nzogbia or Eljero Elia.Also heard Kenny is looking for a Central Midfielder to play with Stevie.Heard Charlie Adam mentioned and even heard a little thing about Xabi Alonso coming back but probs a blag.

We need some new faces in that's for sure mate.

Yea cheers mate I heard about Luis Suarez and Charlie Adam would be quite easy to persuade now that we have a Scottish manager.

Would love to see us sign Coentrao as he was one of the stars of the world cup and would finally mean a left back who was not only great at going forward but also a top defender... which is badly needed atm.

Saying that hopefully Kenny can help the likes of Meireles, Torres & Kuyt re-capture the form they hit last season because they've been no-shows so far.

its a liverpool fc discussion thread not, a liverpool fc fan thread.

Fair comment.But the only decent discussions that take place in this thread are between Reds fans with the exception of a few lads who have something worth while to say.

The rest are just here to stick a few cheap digs in.

Why not keep that for the Football Banter thread where it's sound and sack it in here.

i dont remember any digs about liverpool although i dont support them but i did say i respect liverpool fc for what they've done ok.! when master yoda said about counting trophys, i just mentioned something which maybe you didnt like but its true. spoke to master yoda and as far as i know everythings ok. theres a difference between a dig and a fact, anyway im hoping for a good game on sunday..

I stayed out of the bitchfest with some of the so called, my post would've been 12 pages long!!!

On the said players being linked with the club. Young Shady sorry dude but Wayne Bridge isn't even premier league quality let alone Liverpool class even in the position we're in at the minute, Emmanuel Adebayor isn't that great, not consistent, has a bad atitude & thinks he can comand a Man City style wage, Shaun Wright-Phillips is just the same as Maxi but with more speed & not as much of an alround game & lucky to somehow always be in the England squad Robbie Keane would've been a good player first time round but now he's gone too far in the wrong direction like when Shevchenko left Milan & Mateja Kežman left PSV, David Bentley yet to prove himself at the top level but is still a good player given the chance & if we're gonna play 4-4-2 he's the sort of player we need but 2 managers this season have failed to stop him going to Birmingham & Steven Pienaar again isn't any different from Maxi.
groundnpound At maybe £15m Luis Suarez would cost too much maybe even in the summer???, Urby Emanuelson i don't know this guy Fabio Coentrao, I know he's decent but don't know enough to comment, Edin Hazard, I've heard of but don't believe i've seen, Ashley Young, Charles Nzogbia these 2 are in our price range & are both proven in the premier league & would no doubt give us what we desperately need, Eljero Elia, i've only seen him as a sub at the World Cup & he looked good but thats as a sub & too many of us already know the name Ryan Babel, Charlie Adam, like i say half a good season isn't enough for the gamble we'd be taking, Xabi Alonso everyone would love this but it will never happen unless he's out of contract & he will then be 32/33ish.

A quick word on the Blackpool game.... Well I've given up on us playing 4-3-3 as it's NEVER gonna happen but to put Milan Jovanović in for Maxi was a BIG mistake & to play him on the left of midfield was an even bigger one, once again Raul Meireles was on the right... Why??? Sotirios Kyrgiakos & Christian Poulsen i'm not even gonna talk about!!!
But lets not finish on a bad note as we've got enough of them to keep the Royle Mail in business for the next 20 years, Martin Kelly is once again been given his chance & once again is showing the signs of a young Jaime Carragher, I remember Mica Richards having a good season at City & everyone was saying he's worth £20m... Well then i guess Martin Kelly's worth £50m, I hope now he's fit again Jay Spearing will be given a proper chance in the team as both him & Kelly in the same team as Gerrard & when he's back Carra will give the likes of Torres, Kuyt, Skrtel & Johnson the view of the spirit we need to start showing.

I reckon groundnpound was referring to the other guys who posted cheapshots on the thread and not you specifically mate.
