I've spoken out on this subject a lot over the past few months, in both my personal and professional life and it astounds me how some people view my working while pregnant. Everybody is entitled to an opinion no doubt, but I think some people need to look at the bigger picture.

If I gave up work, I would not be able to provide for my child. Now for those who think of me as being an unfit mother to be because of my continuing to work, what would make me more unfit? Continuing to work and establishing a future for my daughter or quitting and being unable to give her what she needs?

I know that was not the direction you were going in, but even from you're perspective, you see it as inhumane, which I find odd. I'm not being forced to work and it's not even that I have to. I actually want to. I love my job and while I'm capable of working, I will. I'm pregnant, not ill! I hope you can understand a little better now.

As I said earlier in the week, I'll be off on maternity leave after Saturday December 4th and will return to your screens next year

This girls a work-aholic, she probably still be working the calls as they wheel her into hospital.

I'm sure Ashleigh knows what maternity leave she's entitled to and is choosing to take it after her daughter is born. Think about it, should she take time off now and sit around doing nothing or take it after giving birth when she can spend the time bonding with her daughter?

Yes she'll probably want to have most of it afterwards.

If guys don't like her, don't ring her. You probably won't get through anyway because she is so popular, pregnant or not.

At the end of the day I will do what I want with my life. Yes I'm pregnant. Yes I'm working. I'm in perfectly good health, as is my baby, so why shouldn't I? If you don't like watching me, put your remote to good use and change the channel.

I don't have to justify myself to anybody and will not talk about this anymore. Carry on making your judgements. To be honest, I don't really care.

I'm not a particularly religious person myself, but a quote from the Bible for you: let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
