Not sure that Manc landlord should be publicly stating £40m for transfers, this means the first player we bid £15m for will be valued by his club at £18/22m.... Ashley Young anyone...

RE: Liverpool FC
I know there's one or two Liverpool fans on here, so is anyone able to answer these questions:

1) Any idea how many people Liverpool have on the waiting list for season tickets?

2) If this new owner comes in, and seeing as he's financed the expansion/modernisation of Fenway Park, would it be possibly for the club to expand the current Anfield to 60,000? Or would the cost and lack of space available mean that this was a non-starter?

3) Every now and then you hear about a ground share with Everton, but is this really a serious option? I hope not.

1.Season ticket waiting list is years lad..Dont know exactly how many all the same? You'll need to write to the club and apply for one. It's worth it though Chilly! It's all on the club website what to do.

2.It's definately possible for Anfield to be improved Chilly and personally i think that's the way they will go if NESV take over so a brand new stadium might not be on the horizon but who knows?

3.The simple answer to number 3 Chilly lad is NO!NOT A CHANCE!I never want to ground share with Everton! Our clubs have different identities and it should be kept that way!But i suppose in this day and age anything is possible but i hope not.

If that is the case then, as a member of the British public, I think they should sell Gerrard, Torres and Reina to Arsenal and sell Jovanovic, Lucas and Babel to Spurs. Smile

RE: Liverpool FC
Me & a mate put our names down for a season ticket in June 2009 & were told the waiting list was anywhere up to 2 years at this moment in time & to be honest till Chilly reminded me i'd forgot about itRolleyes

A ground share with the Toffees isn't even a discussion topic!!!
Anfield as the new stadium will be called should be steeped in the history of Liverpool Football Club!!!
The new design from the Texan rat is shit, there's too much space between the fans & the pitch, at an English ground when taking a throw or corner the player should be forcing the fans out of the way, he shouldn't have 5 meters of grass to use!!!

Hate to say it but that big stadium down the East Lancs road is what a premier league ground should almost look like...

Hicks & Gilette out now, you are trying to kill this great institution.
Pray to god the judge throws the book at em tomorrow and they lose everything including the £144million pounds they claim to have invested in the club, Dirty cowboys.

Judgement brought forward to 10 am, after today hearings its 2-0 to RBS in my book. The arguments by council for G&H were well dealt with by Lord Grabiner

BOOM! Big Grin
Quote:11.11am: Judge tells Hicks and Gillett it would be "inappropriate" to appeal. But that route does still remain open, although it is unclear what it could achieve with a board meeting by 8pm tonight.

11.07am: We will be fleshing out more detail of the court ruling over the next few hours. The judge seems to be allowing a breakneck speed to the sale process, which is what RBS and the board wanted. Will H&G appeal? Have they time to? Even if they do, can it halt the sale? Will NESV wish to proceed if new litigation is hanging? Lots of questions, hopefully some answers in the coming hours....

11.05am: The board also want court costs paid by H&G.

11.04am: Judge rules that owners should pay RBS costs.

11.02am: Broughton wants a board meeting by 8pm today to sort out the sale and there is a dispute over whether the owners will be able to communicate via phone. The owners' QC is asking for the meeting to take place at ten o'clock tomorrow. Judge rules that it should be at 8 today.

The club's owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett asked a judge to delay the hearing of an application by creditors Royal Bank of Scotland for mandatory orders paving the way for a possible sale this week. But the plea was rejected by Mr Justice

At RBS's request, the judge imposed injunctions on the two men requiring them to restore the original constitutions of the companies and managing directors.

10.50am: The injunction means the board is reconstituted with Purslow and Ayre back in place and Broughton allowed to see through the sale, reports Sachin Nakrani

10.49am: Mr Justice Floyd: "The owners do not have an absolute right to veto a sale."

10.42am: JUDGE RULES MANDATORY INJUNCTION WANTED BY RBS AGAINST OWNERS IS GRANTED: SALE CAN GO AHEAD

BOOM! AGAIN! Tongue
