^ I’m loving it too. I find the ceremony & tradition very interesting in Asian countries. Never managed to visit Japan much to my regret but do visit China every year

I like the idea of no weight divisions.
Proper David v Goliath match ups where speed and agility can sometimes upset the odds over weight and power.

Saw a short video of it - wow!! I assume when they throw rice on the ring it is for grip or something or is it reserved for just the champion??

I have to say it is nice to see it on the BBC!! I expect you'd have to get up in the middle of the night to watch it live from Japan!! And I agree it is real David Vs Goliath
stuff - even though there are no weight classes - is there a limit on what you can weigh? I'd like to see the BBC show Muay Thai at some point or a full Taekwondo tournament
