It should never be about what nationality the Pope imo.
The overarching philosophy and outlook is the most important thing. It seems he wants to follow in a similar mould to Pope Francis. If so then all good as far as I'm concerned.

Due to demographic pressures. Essentially, throughout much of the developed world our populations are aging and the working age population is shrinking. Therefore, if you still want a generous pension system you need to raise retirement age’s, and have increased immigration to have enough people to create a productive economy and provide generous care for all those old people.
