3/4 Less religion this time, as Dave gets a shiatsu massage for his dodgy knee. They move to the Canal du Midi, and wind up being impressed by Carcassone.
BnD - 2MoaB
4/4 The final dash for the line, including a brief ride on a canal boat, waffle about sluices, a vineyard trip, and a final feed on the coast.

Wonderland - Science Fiction in the Atomic Age
1/4 Mary Shelley to Isaac Asimov
Another series I hope to get through before the bloody Landscape Artists come back. Verne, Wells, Vonnegut, Ballard, Kubrick and Shute also cropped up in this consideration of a genre that veered from books to films and back.

Peru - Sacrifices in the Kingdom of Chimor
The gruesome mystery of finding hundreds of skeletons from the early 15th century, and trying to work out why, and then finding further burial sites in reasonably close proximity.

Women Painting War
Photographer Oishi Yoshino looks up the story of a pair of paintings done by an all-women group during early 1944, led by Hasegawa Haruko. She gets help from historian Kiri Tomoko. The paintings depict women's contribution to the war effort (one is set for Spring/Summer, the other is Fall/Winter). Issues are that the short timespan given (2.5 months) led to images inspired from press pics. And also the subject matter of the Greater East Asia War, as they called it, is WW2, as most of the rest of us call it.

The Bottom Line
Steve Clemons talks first to Shibley Telhami, about Trump going to the Middle East, and then later to Matt Duss, about Trump coming back from the Middle East.

2/4 Arthur C Clarke to Raymond Bradbury
More on books than films, with George Orwell also in this mix.

He finds plenty of armed forces stories, and even a pub run by a large family including some ne'er-do-wells (though he never compares this to Eastenders). He winds up at the port of Casablanca and fails to quote from that either.
WDYTYA? Layton Williams
Never mind policemen looking younger, some of the people checking their life story on this show seem a bit young. Anyway, he was pleased to find lots of London links, then got to check out Jamaica, which went somewhat predictably.

David Hockney - Double Portrait
A repeat from 2003 when Bradford's Finest Painter had spent 12 months in London doing a large number of "double portraits", in watercolour to make it different and exciting.

3/4 Margaret Atwood to Ted Chiang
Women writers of SF, and also BAME ones. Veering back to the big screen toward the end .
