^ I wasn't celebrating that the B's didn't get into the playoff's, nor sad that The Leeds got an extra time winner to give them the title.
But it's a shame that Millwall scored as it stopped Burnley getting the record to themselves for the most games in a season without conceeding a goal. At present it stands at 30.

Burnley has probably conceeded the least amount of goals in a season.

And over the last 116ish games in the Championship (with Dyche, Company and Parker) they have only lost about 6 games.

Unbelievable drama in League Two.
Walsall looked set to claim the last automatic promotion spot in a 1-0 win at Crewe. Walsall had led the table for a long time until just recently but suffered a 13 match winless run until today.

Their main rivals for promotion were Bradford City who needed to match Walsall's result to go up. 0-0 going into the last minute of stoppage time and then yep you've guessed it.

Far better to reward teams who play to win games, 3 points for a win in the best format.

In any case if Leeds start the season knowing they only get 2 points for a win then they would play a different style.

Insane that Burnley concede just 16 goals, & the 30 conceded by Leeds is the 2nd best in Championship history.

Burnley fans had to abort their pitch invasion, that would've been embarrassing.
Leeds have scored 22 goals from the 81st -90+ minute of the game this season.

Charlton Athletic beat Leyton Orient to win the right to deffo play Watford and Preston next season

Wimbledon beat Walsall in an anti-climax end to the EFL season (though not a-c for Wimbledon, obvs).

Opening Day EFL fixtures have been released for 2025/26 which Sees Birmingham kick things off on Friday 8 August.

Also in Carabao cup this season, due to British club European competition participation there will be a Preliminary round to the competition in 2025./26.
