The Arts Interview: One Life
Katie Razzall talks remotely to Sir Anthony Hopkins, and also other people connected to the new One Life movie, and also brought up clips from That's Life with Sir Nicholas Winton. Hopkins takes a splendid view of the need for more compassion in the world.

Bruce and Ronnie IN The Corbett and Forsyth Show
1988 special marking Bruce's return to the Beeb. A mix of musical numbers and sketches, with Fiona Fullerton as an agreeable guest star.

The Occupied West Bank: The Other Front
Timely look at an area where as much horror and devastation is ongoing and has been for years, but which "the eyes of the world" ain't looking at, for some reason.

Simple reason for that Doddle - Israel has the west in its' back pocket! No excuse for recent events in Israel - None!! but, and it is a big but, Israel has got away with fragrant abuses of human rights on this occasion, and illegal (proven) actions over time! The U.S.A is an unashamed backer of Israel, and 'the usual suspects' do not even address the issue of the west bank, or the rights of the Palestinian people when talking about the middle east question! In fairness, Biden appears to get the need for a 2 state solution - should, however, the 'peroxide plank' get a second chance, that will be well off the table! The mood music is not good, with Blinken etc saying that Hamas can - in absolute terms - have no role in the future of the west bank! Understandable perhaps at one level, but it would sound to me were I Palestinian, like I had little or no say in my own future. That never translates in to a solution!

Netanyahu is a well dressed bully!!

3/3 The final one saw Rusty making Bangers n Smash, which some random "michelin-starred" chef then couldn't tell the difference from the same meal made with proper potatoes. She also got to make a Fray Bentos-style pie from scratch. Elsewhere the story of discounting, "Asda price", out of town shopping, barcodes and the Honey Monster.

Overall a fascinating series, though perhaps more if you're of a certain age.
The 1970s Supermarket... at Christmas
A lengthier follow-up which saw Rustie making Brussels pate, vol au vents and trifle from a box, whilst the science dude made cheese footballs, after eight mints and sprouts. Also chat about various products such as the chocolate orange - which succeeded the chocolate apple, but was not replaced by the chocolate lemon.

NASA TV - Youtube

Live unveiling of the 'next big thing' in Aviation! The presentation launch of the 'Supersonic' jet X-59. Very 'Thunderbirds' - Gerry Anderson certainly did see well in to the future - but very impressive!! Looks a whole lot like a fighter jet
