Classic Albums returns on SA at 8 with Gil Scott-Heron, followed by a lengthy concert from Gil... er, no, Jamiroquai.

Or Blondie in concert on BBC4 at 11.

Classic Albums is the Doors on SA at 8, with Carly Simon later on (half 12) on BBC4 in a repeat.

Old Grey Whistle Concert this week is Billy Joel, around half 11. I hope those repeat concerts are to be a regular event.

Took me til last night to catch up with this. Well worth it though, I suspect I will end up trying to get the other albums of theirs I've not yet got.

Assuming you caught/missed that night's CA on Frank Zappa, then its BBC2 tonight with a Simon & Garfunkel double bill sandwiching Dave Grohl as Jools' guest this week.

I think the thing on Hansa Studios is on at half 10 (also SA) if you've not seen it before. It's the Berlin studio where U2, REM, Bowie and others made some crazy records.

It's Zappa on BBC4 at 9, followed by Janis Ian on this week's Old Grey Whistle Test concert.

For those who watched the 80s/90s chart rundown show a few months back on 5, they're back with 1970 at 10pm. Will Mungo Jerry be top, or what?

If you missed BBC4 showing Simon & Garfunkel's 1981 reunion concert a few weeks back, to mark Paul's 80th birthday, then you've another chance to miss it this weekend as its re-shown to mark Art's 80th. Here's a bit. See how harmonic they get:

Good chance the whole concert is there tbh, but hey, free country etc...

Some Irish/folk larks on BBC4 tonight, and TOTP reaches the end of 1991 too, I think.

Queen ahoy on BBC2 tomorrow evening.
