The investigation into Trump's company has been moved from civil to criminal. So like most people expected then.
Will he get Capone'd, or will he get away with it. Oh and I wonder how many people will get thrown under a bus to save him/his company.

I'd daresay more than likely it'll be quite a few....anything to save his own neck being stretched

but he pardoned himself beforev leaving office - doesn't that mean he can't be prosecuted?

No Trump didn’t, not as far as I know he pardoned himself

I do remember a lawyer on CNN saying that if he had pardoned himself he did not necessarily have to announce it then and there that he could keep it quiet until such times as he required it, though I do remember it being said that his team managed to keep him from doing it.

Either way the President only has the power to pardon an individual for federal crimes & I believe that what he is being investigated for is at the state level so it would not get him out of jail

So could he have done it without his team knowing?

He was definatley thinking about pardoning him and his family not sure if he did

But you are correct Pardons are only for Federal Crimes
