Recently deceased seventy year old Henry van Cleve arrives at the reception desk of hell and politely requests that the devilish concierge admit him for his lifelong misdemeanours. Satan tells him that they don't just allow anyone in without proof of serious wrongdoing and so the film is played out as a series of flashbacks as Henry recalls his life from boyhood to death

An enjoyable, witty, good looking film. Don Ameche was a second division leading man but he does a good job playing the selfish, philandering Henry. Gene Tierney looks stunning as the wife who understands him better than he knows.
A mention should go to Laird Cregar who is an excellent devil. He had only been in films for four years when he died at the age of 31 the year after this film was made.

A steaming pile of turd. More wood than a porn convention.

I only give it 2/10 due to the frankly pant wetting main female character, so freakin hot

To think this is the same Vin Diesel that was so good in Pitch Black etc. And Guy Pearce? WTF has happened to his career?

Avoid.

This is the story of Liam who is approaching his 16th birthday on the mean streets of Greenock, a few miles from Glasgow on the firth of Clyde. His mother is in prison, his mother's boyfriend is a vicious small time drug dealer as is his grandad. Liam and his best mate Pinball sell contraband tobacco in the local pubs but they graduate to selling hard drugs to raise enough money for Liam, his mother and sister to start a new life together in a er.... static caravan. Their activities attract the attentions of the local Mr Big who draws Liam into his operation with tragic murderous consequences.

I managed to decipher about one word in three as it was broadcast without subtitles despite the dialogue being in the local dialect which makes Rab C Nesbit sound like Jo Swinson (who?)

Directed by left wing extremist Ken loach, the man who threatened the Edinburgh International Film Festival with a boycott because the Israeli embassy had paid £300 towards the travelling expenses of a filmmaker to attend, while being happy to have his own films distributed in Israel. The man who campaigns for Palestinian "freedom fighters" to overthrow the state of Israel while supporting the "socialist" regime of Chavez and Maduro which tortures and imprisons democracy campaigners in Venezuela.

Ranked 594th in the TSPDT list the best films of the 21st century.
