A PL club already has gone bust. Portsmouth went bust in 2010.

It didn't send shockwaves through the system. It didn't do anything to the system. The PL gave us a 9pt penalty and everyone carried on as normal.

Yeah and you can say Bolton kinda went bust look at all the trouble they have been though all be it their troubles started when they was relegated from the Premier League.

And like Portsmouth they will go from the Premier League to League 2 if the season ends of course.

Can see maybe a couple of league 1 or 2 sides being in severe trouble

thats the big worry i think there are a lot of clubs at the bottom of league 1 and in league 2 they need the gate money to pay wages its even more of an issue in Scotland where the money for being in the bottom 2 leagues is so small with out gate mone they will go bust very quickly,

i think the season has to be finished even if that means playing in June and July, you cant promote or relegate anyone else it will all end in the courts,
as for Bury i dont think they would be in a position to be a league side by August , the reborn club BuryAFC are playing there first friendly on the 15th may, but this is a legends side they will need to sign a team before there non league season starts

What sort of season are we looking at for season 2020/2021 atm? I would wonder if they can finish in early June they may have have to push back any new season start to September, (so July & August becomes the transfer window/contract sorting period) bin the League of Nations and look at either staging an old style knockout CL & Europa League to ease burden on the players or scrap altogether for just one season to really allow leagues to concentrate on their domestic season to gdet them back on even footing. Even so we wonder just how many teams will be in operation lower down the structure come the start
of the season. I know there was talk of some Championship clubs may not even survive this.
