Did you read about Larry Tesler (not Tesla) who died yesterday age 74. He's the guy that invented cut, copy and paste which you do each time you add to your scrapbook Big Grin

On a completely different subject, what about Matching Tie and Hankerchief. That's the first Monty Python LP.
Side One is about twenty minutes of sketches whilst Side Two plays for about ten minutes. But here's the funny thing....sometimes when you play Side Two you get a completely different Side Two altogether and it starts with the classic line, ''And now for something completely different''.
How's it done? Well, it's two spirals on one side, all mastered by legendary Cutting Engineer George Peckham. Now he's the guy who used to scribe on the run out of a disc: 'A Porky Prime Cut'

And whilst we've on the subject of music. John Lennon didn't like his voice, 'too many ciggies' he said and George Harrison didn't like his guitar sound. They're in good company: Ravel didn't like Bolero. He couldn't understand why it was his most liked piece and said 'That's not music...'

The building of the Panama Canal, which links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, was one of the most difficult engineering projects ever.

It is estimated that over 25000 workers lost their lives during the long and dangerous project, with most dying from disease and landslides.

Never actually elected, Benjamin Franklin was the President of the United States for three months in 1789.

It was just a weird thing that happened.

Nobody noticed at the time.

I met George Peckham in his studio on Great Portland Street in the early eighties when he mastered some music for me. Really interesting and totally lovely man.

He told me that back in the day, Ringo gave him the original Beatles kick drum skin - the one with the Beatles logo on it. He kept it safe at the time, in a bank vault.

All told there were seven Beatle Drop-T drum heads of which George Peckham's is the last one. It's the one seen for a few seconds at the start of Let It Be.
The most famous is probably number two, own by Jim Irsay, owner of the Indinapolis Colts and bought a few years ago for $2.05M.
