I hope it's a coincidence, I want Klopp, at the end of 2024, to sign a new contract, whatever may happen in the interim.

Same, a few weeks back, I was thinking if Klopp won the title this season, he might walk away for a rest but now we are being linked with a player or two, the contract is making sense.

Yeah Klopp even said today that he signed a new contract to assure any potential new signings that he was there for the long term. A lot of players would be drawn to Liverpool because of Klopp so it's a good way of ensuring their signing.

Reminds of Robin van Persie when signed for United, he signed with the understanding that whiskey nose would be there for a few years more, but left after van Persie's first season, which disappointed RVP

If it is only a coincidence and Stevie Gerrard does big things with Rangers over the next few years I can't see how he couldn't turn down the offer if it was made to him at some point, from Liverpool. I think it would be a natural transition for Liverpool.

Ideally Stevie G is the next manager but football is a funny old game, he wins a trophy this season or next and a few Prem clubs will be after him. Xabi Alonso is another, I always wanted him to become assistant to Klopp.

Xabi Alonso might in time, he is eager to get into the coaching/managerial side of the game from what he said recently, managing a lower tier team in Spain at the minute.

Yeah especially if Minamino comes in, just don't see a place for Lallana, maybe if he had been fit the last 2 seasons it would be different as Klopp loves him and his style of play, but probably for him and the club to move on.

On the issue of new contracts; Salah, Mane, Gini, Trent. Basically everyone who hasn't signed a new contract in the last 9 months could and should be angling for a new one, especially if Liverpool win the league and who knows, maybe even the double with the Champions League. Now that would be a dream come true

I guess if they knew Klopp was now staying they know how well he gets the best out of them, they would.
