RE: The "Pissed Off " Thread
Yeah it can be caused by many things. In my case I was dangerously overweight 19stn (15.0 now) and very high blood pressure but with pills and exercise I managed to get it right down and I didn't have any vices at all. It could be someone in your family? if it's not weight related. It is very scary, it hit me like a car smashing into a brick wall but it is possible to manage with perhaps support groups to help you and cope.

It can be reversed. It's not easy but is possible. And if grapefruit is your vice, I'm sure you can find another to replace it! Good luck!

If you think that’s bad, take a look at sky channel 674. There is a programme on called ‘Christmas in July’, one of the presenters is actually wearing fake antlers!!!

I've been watching recordings on Sky+HD that still have Christmas ads and just recently for Easter. I remember the shopping channel QVC used to do Christmas in July month-bloody ridiculous when it's 80+F outside!Smile

It’s annoying enough when you start hearing about Christmas in bloody September...that’s an absurdity in itself.

But seeing programmes devoted to Christmas on the television barely 3 weeks after the summer solstice...nope, don’t even go there. Not on...jog on with that shite. annoyed

Yeah in all seriousness it is highly irritating. Everything has to be turned into a bloody great commercialistic jamboree. Profoundly depressing.

Re: the Type 2 diabetes. Depending on what sort either weight or dietary in my case I have to keep my feet clean and check for any scratches, cuts or other wounds; the reason being is if you left a cut unattended it could fester and eventually, not to be alarmist, you could lose anything from a toe to your leg-amputations are widespread especially in older people. The medication they might give is METFORMIN, which takes all the sugars and other things and spreads them to your muscles where you need them instead of forming on your stomach giving you a pot belly. It can have side effects(with me when I first took them monumental stomach aches and sometimes hours on the toilet-sometimes it can make you feel sick but I didn't have that thank goodness) It does work but you have to persevere with it. You can also expect to have a fair number of blood tests throughout the year and blood pressure checks. I also have my feet checked for the pulse and whether I can still feel anything-this is done with a special prodding pen on various points of the feet. If you don't feel anything you could put your foot on something sharp and then, well as described above.
