Having said that, the thought of Old Man Steptoe riding the rescue on Hercules doesn't really fill me with hope.

I know Corbyn is useless but surely he won't agree to what would essentially be keeping The Tory party together at the expense of what you can imagine would be considerable damage to his own party. Is May's offer genuine or is she just striking a conciliatory tone so that she can say that she tried to opt for national unity but Corbyn was the issue if there was a snap election?

His own party is also split. Ian Lavery the Chairman of the Labour Party voted against the Labour Whip on the indicative votes and Corbyn didn't sack him although junior ministers have been sacked or resigned for the same thing.

Edit: Now being reported that Lavery offered to resign but Corbyn refused to allow him to.

We know both the country and Parliament are split over Brexit and I sincerely hope that we can find a way forward that brings people back together. I am worried though that there is a certain group of Brexit supporters who frankly are a disgrace and who will use the cover of Brexit and the current turmoil as an excuse to break the law and put themselves and others lives at risk.

The attempts to block railway lines over the last few weeks is outrageous. I'm not suggesting any responsibility falls on the leading Brexiteers but it would help show real leadership if they were to publicly condemn such acts and if in general all parties dialled down the rhetoric being used.
