RE: Memories of Childhood
In the early days of the Internet I seem to recall many people searched for sexy pictures of the Pink Ranger.
Can you imagine today's youth having to go out to make a phonecall using a card or money, physically dialling a number with your finger and looking up numbers in a huge phone book inside a cold phonebox. You could also ring numbers to listen to a record, the latest weather forecast or finding out the time from the Speaking Clock.

Never really got Power Rangers, I thought it looked cheap with the villain in a bad suit!

Remember when everyone wore parka coats where the hood had fake fur around the edge..which absolutely stunk when it got wet from rain. I, like most kids in my year at school had a blue one, but I do remember seeing one or two green ones.

Zipped all the way up, as I remember us all doing during the freezing cold winter of 1978/79, we all looked really strange with our heads resembling some kind of freaky submarine periscope/snorkel kind of shape Bounce

Yes my friend had one, looked more like a deep sea diver or some kind of Doctor Who, weird, cheap monster type. I think they were made by a company called Lord Anthony.

That’s right..hell your memory’s better than mine! laugh

As Financial Domination continues to grow, less enthusiasm is required when putting on a show.

When I was younger at school the in-thing was the Harrington Jacket, favoured by Mods or Skinheads and the Ben Sherman shirts with the RAF roundel on it.

I had a black Harrington jacket during the 1978/79 mod revival period during the warmer weather when the snorkel parka was not required ..it had like a tartan checkered lining. I can still remember seeing skinheads in the early 70s wearing their Harrington Jackets inside out Huh

Yes the Speaking Clock was a woman and then a man who had to always add "the time sponsored by Accurist is..." which I always thought was selling out to commercialism of the worst kind. You can't imagine someone using a mobile phone to ring for the time when it is right in front of you are the top of your screen. I also remember you could phone up for the Cricket scores especially the Ashes or Test matches.
Never really understood why they turned their coats inside out-didn't Will Smith do that with his jacket at school in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.?

Yes and for about 3 months in 1979 we were down to two channels when ITV went on strike.
