RE: Evelyn - Chat & Discussion
We are always discussing the influence Ofcom have on the Babechannel shows, and I have just read something which might interest readers here. It concerns radio, but stick with me, you may be surprised.

There has been a lot of criticism from Radio 2 fans about their program schedules, and they are changing and losing popular experienced presenters etc. Well, last year Ofcom took over control of BBC radio licencing. Astonishingly, they are laying down the law as to what must happen on Radio 2 programs, even for example, down to what percentage of music must be new, and how much must be British etc !!!! Furthermore they are requiring the BBC to reflect greater "diversity" on and off air. It happened that all five weekday daytime radio presenters were male and over age 50, so that isn't "diversity"!!! Chris Evans is handing over to Zoe Ball, and Simon Mayo was first joined by Jo Wiley, and he is now leaving altogether. After many years, the very popular Paul Jones blues show is now hosted by Cerys Matthews. "Diversity" clearly applies to age and gender. The BBC can be fined up to £250,000 if it doesn't comply!!!!

OK, most of us, myself included, aren't interested in the problems of administering Radio 2, and that the enforced changes are very unpopular. However, if Ofcom can to some extent, tell Radio 2 what music to play, and who can play it, and according to one listener, "commit mindless mayhem", destroying the scheduling and popularity of something as routine, innocent, harmless and ordinary as Radio 2, a station which just plays light popular music, with such rules of doubtful necessity, what might they be doing behind the scenes with programming as contentious as the Babechannels? The mind boggles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Evelyn - Chat & Discussion
^ Well fingers crossed those no good menaces are more interested in Radio than the babechannels when Evelyn is back!!, They seem to have theirs fingers in a lot of pies!!
Still, it's going to be great to see her back, I've missed her sexy bod, voice and on-screen persona quite a lot this time.
I'd still like to see her possibly add another day to her schedule, perhaps Mon, Wed, and Fridays or maybe the odd Saturday depending on what other commitments she may have. Saturday's would be good since a lot people don't work that day, the viewing figures would probably sky rocket for S66 and Evelyn herself could probably make a nice take herself with the amount of callers and cammers she'd get to add to her already popular status. Wishful thinking maybe but it couldn't hurt to ask her to see if she'd be interested.

Thank you.

I had some vague awareness of the departures at R2 but did not appreciate the sinister, social-engineering reasons for this. This is not a good time to be white, middle aged and male in the workplace. We are targets and the only group you can discriminate against with not only impunity, but with quasi-state quangos encouraging it.

I guess the quango that is waiting to get thrown on Cameron's bonfire (:rolleyesSmile has powers to dictate to the BBC in such an over-weening manner because they are the state broadcaster? Or can they enforce 'diversity' and editorial content control in regards music and other editorial matters on private providers too?

I understand that the Ofcom rules are part of their radio broadcasting licence, and are therefore general rather than just for the BBC.

This is probably a debate that needs to be moved to the Ofcom thread - mods?

Meanwhile I reckon there's a lot of pent up demand for Evelyn building up in the nation's menfolk...I remember the first show after she came back from a long break in the summer and the phones and cam and chatboxes were white hot with guys piling in, a frenzy to get off with the best in the business...

I also liked the pink dress. She wore that in a very good show.
