Of course, since Russia has been in that area for a while, and the USA hasn't much cared until now, it's pretty blatant that this is just another front in the ongoing "ooh we don't like Russia" antics.

It's incredibly convenient that there should be an "alleged" chemical attack at a time when the USA suddenly wants an excuse to do its "world's police" routine.

Except they didn't. In fact they were so caught out they didn't know who did (the smart money seems to be on Israel).

After Trump's twitter threats, it actually makes them look a bit foolish.

they (the u.s) have no coherent foreign policy. trump just says whatever stupid shit comes into his head and this time it was those poor victims of the most recent chemical attack in syria that payed the price.

Corbyn’s policy of appeasement is useless in circumstances such as this. If firm action is not taken to make it clear that it is unacceptable to use nerve gas on people (I accept certainty of who did it is required) then I’m afraid the perpetrators will do it again. Trumps declaration (against the advice of his generals) that he wanted to pull US troops out of Syria was stupid and is seen by many as the signal Assad needed to push his luck. The U.N. Security Council won’t help in this case as Russia will veto any resolution that seeks to give the go ahead to military action.

Putin must be laughing his socks off.

Reports are that this raid was not carried out by Mueller's team that he referred it to the FBI meaning that there is now a second criminal investigation into Trump's inner circle separate from Mueller's
