More about the Tillerson sacking. Seems he found out on twitter - except he is not on twitter so it was someone on his staff travelling with him who told him! Then today a another senior State Department official explained how Tillerson found out and hours later got sacked himself!

The lady nominated to replace Pompeo at the CIA was reportedly in charge of a black site prison in Thailand where the CIA used water boarding on terrorists. So already time to forget the significance of Trump appointing the first woman CIA Director and ponder that he’s appointed someone who was responsible for torturing terrorists. Sounds like she’s his sort of person as on the campaign trail he said he was in favour of torture.

The new Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is a Tea Party member and has been critical of Muslims in the past saying that they had not done enough to condemn Islamic terrorist attacks despite the fact that they have been doing so since 9/11 saying they were "potentially complicit". After the Boston Marathon attack, on the house floor, he declared their condemnations insufficient saying “It casts doubt on the commitment to peace by adherents of the Muslim faith.”

He also voted in favour of a bill that paused the flow of refugees fleeing Islamic State coming into the country until each individual was declared "no security threat" which sounds ok but President Obama said that that was a standard that was impossible and Pompeo agreed. So basically though it sounds like a standard certification I guess its actually a really high level because you can never be 100% sure so he just wanted to make it impossible for the most vulnerable people in the world to seek safety and refuge

Tillerson's probably glad to be out of it. I'm guessing he only stayed as long as he did to piss Trump off.

And Trump has stated that the Russians were probably responsible for the attack in Salisbury "based on what the British have told me."
Was I the only one surprised we're still sharing intel with the twat?
