It's been a funny old year.

1, the map off Britian is awash with blue.

2, conservatives get more seats than all the others parties put together.

3, Blair and Thatcher both had landslide victories with the percentage May got.

4, She took 12 seats off the SNP in Scotland during a surge and call for an independance referendum, which, in turn, has pretty much killed that idea for now.

ONLY in this year would that be look upon as a disaster and not a fantastic achiement and result.

May is 8 seats off a majority and has 56 more seats than the nearest rival, and this has left the world calling for her neck, Trump has less votes than Clinton and is president.

It does come across as rather one-sided to keep blasting Corbyn as though nobody else is as sin-blackened as he is.

He was slagged during the campaign for connections to terrorism, by the same people who now think it's AOK for Thezza to shack up with the DUP. That's hypocrisy, whether it's you doing it or not.

Wrong. Ruth Davidson took 12 seats off the SNP.

Fiona Hill (May's recently sacked advisor) wanted to run the Scottish campaign from Westminster. Davidson ignored her and ran her own campaign.

Yes it is quite odd. I'm guessing its because of the return to the two party system. It was expected that UKIP's vote would collapse and prop up the Conservatives but generally it seems to have dispersed between both major parties. It may also be because of the expectations of each party. The tories were expected to ride home with a 100+ seat majority. The Lib Dems were expected to replace Labour as the opposition.

Put it this way, if anyone tries to predict the next election or referendum based on opinion polls, that person is getting laughed out of town.

And back in the real world , May called an unnecessary election, and instead of achieving the landslide that she expected, she lost the majority that her party already had - in what way is that 'a fantastic achiement and result'? Not forgetting that, as a result, she now has to do a deal to be propped up by the DUP.
