No Sturgeon isn't taking Scotland out of the EU, she is taking Scotland out of the EU AND the UK for many years, unless they have preferential treatment; didn't you mention something about Spain?

PS, May didn't take the UK out of the EU, the British public voted to leave the EU, she is implimenting this demographic result.

Yes, I know, but there was no indication that the UK would ever leave the EU, nobody thought that even on the night; it was a massive shock to everybody including the people campaigning to leave.

There was never a realistic scenario of the the UK not being in the EU, so one of the arguments at the time of the Scotish independant vote was to all intent and purposes null and void.

How many years do you YOU think it would take before Scotland was allowed in? Couple after the independence? 10? 20?

It could well be quicker, but it still could be years.

It certainly could take more time for any problems with Brexit to be over come. That could, and it's a big could, be as little as two years if negotiations go well.

Apparently, Scotland would have to apply from scratch and be considered a new country.

You certianly have the power not only to speak for all the Scotish people, but to decided on your terms when she is talking shite.

Isn't it pretty obvious to you she's seeking a second referendum becasue circumstances are different now. This could lead to Scotland being taken out of the EU and UK, she does not have to do this, she is doing it becasue she is pro EU, she is doing it becasue she wants to go down in history, and i have not heard her say once that Scotland would have to start from scratch and it could take years to get EU membership.

Has anybody predicted what those years out of the UK and EU would do to Scotland?

This is exactly the same scenario as Brexit, when everybody thought the UK would remain and when they actually leaft that had no plan whatsoever.

To sum up what I have been saying, May is right, Scotland should wait and see, pretty much that is it.
