Spooky coincidence thought Rosberg becomes only the 2nd son of a former world champion to win it themselfs 1st was Damon Hill 34 years after his dad graham hill and was 34 years between each rosberg winning the title

Interesting to see who Mercedes bring in as Lewis Hamilton's teammate. Pascal Wehrlein from manor who is in the Mercedes Driver Program I think is favourite.

He knows he cant beat Hamilton unless hsi car breaks down and his car has been getting reliable the fact Hamilton had him in his pocket all the last race and could have won the title if theother 2 had had a few more laps lol

also the fact verstappen has been getting better and better

Well done Nico it is a class thing to do, retire on top. It was his ambition for years to reach formula 1 champion and he has done it.Don't get me wrong I follow Lewis and wanted him to win and if the car had been a little tad more reliable to would have.

But still a bit of a shocker, never saw it coming....

Rosberg is the first reigning World Champion to retire from Formula 1 since Alain Prost in 1993.

Alain prost had won it before though think mansell has to be the last first time world champion to retire from F1
