To me the path ahead is one of isolationism, intolerance, wrecklessness, selfishness and abdication of responsibility. All this masquerading fatuously as a fight back against the establishment, a notion that I find as disingenuous as I do ridiculous coming from a man who has shown every sign of being as sexist, racist, repugnant, offensive and bigoted as it seems humanly possible to be.
Talk of building walls, banning Muslim entry into the country, dismissing man made climate change as a China made hoax and walking away from the Paris Climate agreement as well as trashing the Clean Power Plan.
Ideas of repealing Obamacare which was brought into effect with the very best of intentions.
Worrying signs too about a number of foreign policy issues. Trade deals, NATO, uncertainty over how he would deal with Middle East policy as well as relations with Europe.
He played the anti establishment card and the American population fell for it hook line and sinker.
I rather suspect his agenda is not about challenging the establishment. It is merely one of remorseless pandering to prejudice and greed. This is a man who seems to want his country to shirk every responsibility, deny culpability for everything under the sun and blame it all on everyone else and insist that the rest of the world pay for all the illls of the world. It is the politics of division, indifference, intolerance and inequality for which his population and those of many other countries could be destined to pay a heavy price.

Our only hope is then that he is assassinated before he takes office...
