Very good review of Suicide Squad Kal-El. have already pre-ordered the HMV Exclusive Blu-Ray Steelbook for it, wouldn't surprise me if it does include a directors cut like Batman v Superman did on blu ray.

Last film I watched was the Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition which is a lot better than the theatrical edition that was released in cinemas. if you weren't keen on BvS after watching it before, you will like it better

Thanks Rammy gonna pre order it later in the week, another reason why this version of the film was changed was because in the original version Joker was physical abusive to Harley the test audience found the footage upsetting so it was changed.

If you look very carful at the start of Suicide Squad you'll notice the identity of who killed Robin blink and you'll miss it lol.

From Hell(2001)

Albert and Allen Hughes co-directed this film starring Johnny Depp as a police inspector on the trail of Jack the Ripper in what is a disappointingly average adaptation of the brilliant graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell. The notion that that the Ripper was a member of the royal family had already been explored to much better effect in Bob Clark's 1979 film,Murder by Decree.

Leviathan(1989)

Once again B movie legend George P.Cosmatos found himself with an A picture budget and cast but couldn't quite figure out what to do with either.A deep sea mining crew find a sunken soviet vessel that harbours a terrible secret. A monster that seems determined to eat them.Even a well designed and realised creature from Stan Winston studios and good acting from Peter Weller,Ernie Hudson and Richard Crenna can't save this pretty good idea from mediocrity.

Mars Attacks(1996) Directed by Tim Burton with an all star cast including Jack Nicholson, Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close, Annette Bening, Jim Brown & Rod Steiger, this is a spoof on science fiction movies that despite the odd good scene, doesn't work because its not very funny & many of the films its spoofing are much better. Indeed, you may prefer the Martians to the mainly annoying human being characters. 5/10

Police Story[aka Jackie Chan's Police Story;Police Force](1985)

The first and best of a series of upbeat, upmarket cop thrillers.Police Story offers none stop action and gags a plenty from the spectacular opening scene, right until the very end. With a charismatic central performance from director and star Chan.A bare bones plot paves the way for an hour and a half of supremely entertaining chaos.Ordered to protect the subppoenaed secretary(Briggette Lin)of crime boss Tom Koo(Cho Yeun)Kevin Chan(Jackie Chan)has his hands full battling a never ending army of mobsters intent on killing the lady before she can testify in court.Romantic complications arise in the form of long suffering girlfriend May(Maggie Chan)and that's about it plot wise.Unlike other Hong Kong actioners of the time, Police Story goes beyond chop socky, asserting itself in the realms of the A Movie with quality production values, brisk pacing,a sense of humour and truly, gob smacking stuntwork performed by Chan himself.

The Sweeney 5/10

Was given the Dvd ages ago and just got round to watching it. The action was good, but the whole baseball bats and wild west style shootouts thing just didn't work for me in the present day setting.
They should've left it in the 70's or moved it to the 80's, at a push. I couldn't really buy into Ray Winston as Regan, either. Philip Glenister would've been better, if he hadn't already been typecast as Gene Hunt.
