Of course they're all going to be queueing up to sell us stuff. The reason trade deals take so long to negotiate is because it has to be beneficial to us as well.

So your saying it's not a two way thing then? We just buy their stuff and they don't ours, never know the EU buying our stuff was charity. Rolleyes

Smacks of desperation that does.

Trade is trade, it goes both ways.

(They are almost certainly correct in this.) They are opportunistically using his supposedly half-hearted performance in the referendum campaign (Corbyn was anti-EU in the distant past) to oust him asap.

Corbyn's trouble is he's too principled to be a politician let alone PM. He wont make his politics personal for one thing. To the media and those in the Westminster bubble that is an anathema. SadRolleyes

If he's anti EU, you think he'd be a good choice right now, at least in the mean time.

I was quite shocked and amuse when the PM told him to go at question time, what was it 'for heavens sake man, go!'

I read what you put, I thought it would be a given that negotiations have to take place.

It is however, a very very good glimmer of optimism in all this, and people want to explore this, which was my general point of posting that link; rather than wave race cards around trying to over turn the decision that way.

This goes a long the lines of what one of my American finantial friend said, rather than globalization, global free trade would be better, and Britian leaving the EU could be the catalyst that eventually led to that. I assume than the entire world would be a single market, rather than have the block of EU, block of US Russia, India, China etc

But of course if my uncles dick was up my auntie she's be.... wait, something not quite right about that bladewave

Correct. However it's not a given that the negotiations would lead to an actual deal anytime soon, unless we just give them everything they want and get nothing in return.

No it isn't but it's step in the right direction, we are still in the EU for 2 years, no reason why you can't talk with one while talking with the other.
