Deadpool

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!!!!!!!!!! One of the best comicbook films ever. It's got it's tongue firmly in it's cheek and is ridiculously funny and had me laughing very hard from start to finish and isn't afraid to poke fun and send up other superhero movies either with brilliant one liners or very funny visual gags. It's also very gory, bloody & violent and revels in this. Stan Lee has a brilliant & funny cameo that had me in stitches

There are 2 post credit scenes which were fantastic and had me in stitches.

I will be laughing for ages

10/10

Superman II

The Richard Donnar Cut(2006)

The version of Superman II that Richard Donnar intended to be seen before he was screwed over by the Salkinds.Restored and remastered and also featuring key scenes shot with Marlon Brando. Not quite perfect but far superior to the theatrical version.

The Ghost And Mrs Muir (1947) A widowed mother forms a friendship with the ghost of a sea captain when she moves to a cottage in Cornwall. A charming, bittersweet rather than a scary ghost story with excellent performances from Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison. There's an early role for Natalie Wood too. 7/10

I agree it's a shame he never got to truly finish it.

Robinson Crusoe On Mars(1964)

Cult classic starring Paul Mantee as astronaut Kit Draper who crash lands on Mars with his pet monkey Mona.Although done on the cheap,Death Valley,California is used to double for Mars this is well acted and quite poignant.

Quills (2000) an entertaining tale of the Marquis De Sade's battle to smuggle his naughty literature out of the asylum . Both comic and tragic, Geoffrey Rush is excellent as De Sade and there's a top supporting cast of Kate Winslet, Michael Caine and Joaquin Pheonix 7/10

They Live(1988)

John Carpenter's funny, political rant on consumerism starring the late Roddy Piper is a deliberately funky throwback in look and style. Some nicely staged action sequences throughout and it also features one of the longest fights in movie history.Well worth a look.
