I suspect this may not be a popular view but i don't post often (never before in fact) but i was curious to see whether there are others that share my thoughts. I couldn't see anything that had referred to this previously.

Does anyone else really not understand the appeal of using active pornstars on the channels?? especially with S66 now seemingly adding quite a few to their roster.

When you can see them go so much further elsewhere putting them on a heavily censored night show makes so little sense to me. It's the equivalent of your mrs saying 'well since you've been loving these BJ's so much lately i'm going to switch it up and start giving you only handjobs instead' It's a step back from what you are accustomed to.

Make no mistake Elicia looks stunning tonight but whilst there will definitely be temptation to call her in her first few shifts i can't help but think the appeal will soon wear off when all i can see her doing on tele is getting her tits out whilst a quick google search and you can see her getting creampied in a taxi lol.

I sort of get that the fans of some of these pornstars used (stella cox, elicia, chessie etc) would like to speak to them but couldn't they simply use these on the S66 webcams where they could go further anyway.

I can appreciate the above might not be popular but wanted to get it off my chest and also see if anyone else is of the same opinion.

Some of this is probably frustration on my part that prior to going to uni in 2010 i loved the shows but after moving back home 3 and bit years later couldn't get over how much had changed and not necessarily for the better. I don't think it is necessarily a change in my preference either but the channels transitioned from a good mix of glamour models and naturally stunning girl next door types to predominantly enhanced girls who have had 'work done'. I miss the old days

^^ Indeed I've seen the pornstar as babe rational critised on here before but I've not seen the objections spelt out so thoroughly and articulately. Top post.

There is a thread on this forum somewhere which asks why we watch these channels still in the age of swathes of internet porn. I suppose 66's rational maybe one of if you can't beat 'em... But for me this misses a crucial aspect of the babeshow's appeal - it AINT porn! To be frank, the babes are supposed to be better looking than that. Or at least they were. They were supposed to be a cut above - girls you WISHED would get dirtier but ones that had their limits (the non-pussy thing) because they were above that or at least could realistically be presented that way. It was a sort of aspirational thing - longing for something slightly out of your league. With policies like this one, those days are gone.

IMO it is very telling that the pornstar as babe show babe is most prominent at 66 given that they currently seem to have such problems recruiting the more traditional type babe. The temptation of the lucrative full-on pussy cam market seems to have lured Jamie back down the US porn star route of late. (There is also the appeal of hob-knobbing in Vegas of course! ) It may be a case of needs must of course but it has to be said that it shows a certain disregard for what made the shows successful in the first place IMO.

The shows have never been without competition from porn but these days that competition seems to be bringing the two closer together than ever. From a very personal perspective I don't like it much and quite a few posters on here have intimated the same. None of that would seem to matter when the future apparently lies in the mighty vag's pulling power online. That's good if it's a previously 'good girl' babe stepping up to the plate but a pornstar... that's just a bit me'h for me!

According to the channels themselves there is falling demand for their traditional services - which is put down to competition from the internet. Big competition comes from webcams and the channels have reacted to this by introducing webcams of their own.

If the channels didn't go down this route I think it would become more and more difficult for them to survive. If demand continues to fall for their telephone lines, the webcam side inevitably becomes a more and more necessary part of their business model.

I always found the whole appeal of these shows was the fact that they were covered up a bit, and you used your imagination and almost looked at them as a different class of babe or glamour model to out and out dirty pornstars who give it all away.

If for example Mica or Lola was a pornstar, I would probably lose interest after a while as I had seen everything and seen them do everything.

Leaving something to the imagination works for me.

Last night was shockingly bad, porn stars or not.

Personally, I love the girl-next-door-teasing type of show, with the sense that if you stay on for long enough you just might get treated to a flash.

Exactly. It's the longing for more with the occassional glimpse of heaven to keep hope alive, from a babe that shouldn't but does, that is the key for me. Once the pussy is out there for hours on end with a dildo rammed in each hole... what more is there to look forward to? Why watch (and presumably call to a lesser extent) when you have seen and 'had' it all before?

That's why to me the pornstar recruitment is another limited customer base thing. It is an continuation of the moves to appealling towards more individual girl's fanbases rather than a more general audience. Yet another niche.

I can see why the babeshows (not just s66) have pornstars on their rosters. it's because they know the fans of pornstars want to interact with their favourite pornstar which they can't do when watching their films etc.

so the babeshows know that if they have a pornstar on their channels, they will get plenty of calls in from people wanting to interact & have phone sex with their fav pornstar
