I can clear this confusion. the people behind the power rangers, Saban, have officially confirmed the power rangers will use the same names as the original

Yeah, I say "confusion" because a certain website has been reporting "news" on the movie that is completely unsubstantiated, but it hasn't stopped other outlets repeating this like it's official news. The other one is that this isn't a reboot, but actually in continuity with the TV show, which is just stupid and what I read about that sounded like glorified fanfiction.

I genuinely think if they go for something along the lines of Avengers meets Pacific Rim, they're on to something that could work. This really is a property that does not need to go down the grim & gritty route.

I like the short film that was done earlier this year with katee sackoff has the pink ranger. what could work is the rangers are disbanded with some trust issues but have to reunite to take down the villans.
