Liverpool FC

After paying such a big fee for Firmino, I don't see what the fuss is. Lazor Markovic cost £20 million last summer and is now out on loan. If liverpool have any more result's like today then Rodger's will be under pressure again and rightly so. He has had more than enough money to spend.

Firmino is good just needs time, I agree about markovic what's the point spending 20m then send him out on loan, I do rate Rodgers but some of his transfer dealings in the past is puzzling

As someone who for a long time preached patience towards Rodgers last season , he is now on borrowed time in my opinion as we can't even beat a side in 90 minutes , who so far this season have the worst defence in league 2 , with arguably what could pass as the first team .

I think Rodgers is a top manager but I sometimes scratch my head with his transfer dealings e.g.- aspas, luis alberto, I know its hard with not being in the champions league but still u think of players like mahrez and even ayew was available on a free, all those would have helped.

I too think his on borrowed time and the lure of a klopp or ancelotti may be too hard to resist for the Liverpool board

I'll cut him some slack on Aspas & Luis Alberto as they aren't bad players their proving that in La Liga , I mean Aspas scored a brace against Barca this week and Luis Alberto has played well in his two loan spells . It would of helped if Aspas had learned more than one word of english which was reportedly yes and that was it , as for Alberto it would of helped if had been given more than 12 games . I want Ancelotti as he's a proven commodity as he's won everywhere he's been and apart from his time at Milan has never been given a long time to build a side which he would get at Liverpool .

To be fair to Rodgers he is not in sole charge of the transfers. He is one of 5 people that vote on each prospective transfer. If 3 or more Boatd members agree on a potential transfer they go ahead with it. However, if Rodgers is the only one interested he gets over ruled.

Brendan Rodgers has been sacked by Liverpool.
